I think we were all in the same mood yesterday, Donna and Laura. I got a really late start like Donna and almost skipped out like Laura. But we did it. Good job y'all!
Now, where's everybody else? Come on. There's no shame in taking a rest day on Super Bowl Sunday friends.
Oh yeah, who won the Super Bowl? ??
Well, today should be upper body workout, but I had forgotten that i have an appt with my son after school. There's a slim chance that we'll finish in time to take him to his lessons so I can workout. The usual problem is that I have to know about 3 hours in advance, so i can go out dressed for the gym. As usual, I guess I'll dress for the gym "just in case". Fingers crossed.
 Will check back in later.0

I just came from a lunch-time Body Pump class!!!! Yay me! It was great!
Part of me wants to try to hit the treadmill tonight, but part of me is like "You just started working out again. Do overdo it."
 What do you guys think?0

brrrrr, it got chilly here. After son's appt, had time for tutor (albeit later than usual). Dropped him off and ran/bussed to the gym and did a so-so upper body workout. "So-so" because I was in a hurry and it was the first Monday of the month (and an hour later than my usual time) and the gym was hammered with people (lots of newbies in pairs--bffs and couples). Got through most of it as a "power" workout (quicker, heavier reps), but the tricep machine was broken and the dumbbell free-weight section was overrun, so I'll have to make-up a tricep workout tonight or tomorrow. Also couldn't wait around for the oblique machine (which I don't love anyway--too small range-of-motion I think), so it's better that I just use home dumbbells for that too. Ran all the way back and then some, so I managed to get my usual ~24min run in.
Hope everyone else is having a great start to the week and the month.0

Yay you!!! I bet you feel so good now don'tcha!
Do it tonight! You'll feel so proud of yourself. It's a good feeling to get addicted to. When those times come that you aren't sure if you want to workout, you'll be reminded of that proud feeling and seek that.0

Nice workout Sherry! It's so much easier getting your workouts in when the gym is quiet. In general I'm not a fan of most of the machines - I feel the same way about range of motion.
tlatrice13 my vote is listen to your body. If you're feeling up to the treadmill get on it! If you're feeling tired, skip it. This week is the one year anniversary of when I hired my trainer. We worked out Monday night, I did an hour on the treadmill Tuesday during the day, I did Zumba class Tuesday night, and by Wednesday I could barely walk. Too much too fast! But I recovered.
I have a trainer session tonight. Hopefully we'll do my one year assessment because I want to see how many inches I've lost over the past year. He's not a big fan of doing the assessments because it cuts into our actual workout time, but we haven't done one since July. I'm also scheduled to run tonight but man I'm tired. Hopefully I catch a second wind.0

Happy Anniversary to you Laura! Make him do the assessment (he makes you do stuff all the time, so you'd think that on this momentous occasion you could pull the strings a little bit, haha!). Anyway, even without the hard numbers, you know you've done amazing things in one year and come a very long way. Good for you!!!0

Hi, back from trip barely! Lol
Had fun at concert, Super Bowl at pub....but I ate spicy food, I ordered chicken sandwich not knowing how spicy it was, between that and some drinks got super sick and still can barely have chicken broth.
My toe is better but obviously is bruised as it is all kinds of colors! So doing some walking now in slip on shoes, but no real exercise for awhile.0

We did the assessment and it took the full half hour (well because we talked about the results & my goals going forward) so I didn't actually get my strength workout in. But it was worth it. I did run 2 miles after.
Short version: down 70.4 pounds, 48.25 inches overall (including over 12" off my waist & 12" off my hips), and my percentage of body fat is slightly less than half what it was a year ago.0
