OK, we have made it over the hump (the first 30 days!). Now let’s reflect. Have you had the results you were expecting? Is there something new you want to try? Are you feeling stronger? Are you having fewer cravings for CRAP?

Now is time to reflect on how we feel about our results so far and plan for the next 30 days! Are you losing at a good rate? Well, I am calling today Technical Tuesday because I want us to get a bit more technical when it comes to the science of weight loss (or more specifically fat loss). Do you know how many calories you should consume to maintain or lose weight? Well, if you are going by the numbers in MFP, you may be eating too little, and therefore causing your body to hold on to that weight.

Check out this link (http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/) and compare the recommended daily caloric intake to what you are eating now. Any surprises?

Ready and focused to buckle down in February - worked hard in January, but lost focus the last week. Going to focus on the quality of the calories this month, as well as stepping up my exercise. I always track only half of what I have done for exercise as I feel MFP over accounts for calories burned. Have been attending an hour long TRX class each Tuesday, weights 2x weekly, yoga 1x weekly, and treadmill sprints at home 2x weekly. Hope to keep this up through the end of February.

As far as cravings go, doing well, except for I am sick this week and all I want is soup - spicy thai soup from a local restaurant full of jalapeno's, chili paste, and sriracha, mmm!

Hello everyone!!!! As I said before I always struggle with that. I never know if I am eating enough. I do know that when I derail and give in to cravings I gain, that is for sure. But when I come back to 1600 or less I start losing but I feel hungry all the time!!! Cravings? It varies, when it is that TOM of course I crave sweets, simple carbs like chips, etc but outside of that I can control myself pretty well. I am so close to my goal that my body is fighting it!!! :grumble: I just have to try to relax some but be consistent especially with my diet. I think I am going to try to increase my caloric intake but I definitely want to eat more protein and fat than carbs. I think I will reintroduce greek yogurt and cottage cheese back in my diet. (I stopped eating dairy on Jan 1), wheat products not so much, I have had some here and there but I do like how I feel since I cut it back. I will go by how I feel once I reintroduce those foods again.

I know you don't know the intensity of my workouts but when I see the charts such as the one you sent I don't know how to categorize myself. According to the chart a person that works out is very active but it also says hard daily exercise/sports. I just don't want to overestimate so that is why I always stay in between. I do work out 6-7 days a week but I don't consider myself an athlete (although some people do). I do 2 days of Zumba (pretty intense, have to be for my students), 3 days of strength trng (can lift heavy or just body weight, depends), one day of Bikram yoga, on Sundays, my "rest" day I am usually doing a challenge with facebook friends and/or practicing choreography for my Zumba classes. What would you say I am? :noway:

Chelsea, great workouts!!! The Thai soup sounds delish!!!
