    Good Morning!

Checking in and it is long over-due I guess! I've been feeling my Achilles the last couple of runs, so I am going to ride my bike trainer today....and we are suppose to get a snow storm today anyway....so it will be a day off from running for me.

Had a good food-day yesterday, hope to have another today!

If I get out of work on time today, I'll be able to get to the metobolic conditioning class. It's really a fun class!

I have a trainer workout tonight & will likely run. Need to run either today or tomorrow. Wednesdays I don't see Jason until 7:00 so I have time to run before our session when I'm not feeling lazy about it.

It's freezing cold here today! Try to stay warm wherever you are!

jenmck5 my daughter in Colorado says shoveling snow has taken place of her gym this past month! She's at 7500 ft and gets a lot.

I am doing housework and slow walking, toe still hurts if I walk without shoes, I guess it takes a long time to heal.

Going to see movie with a girl friend next town over.

And our cold days are here, 5 degrees with wind chill minus. On the plus side sun is out!!!

Hi Maureen! Welcome back again. Sorry to hear about your achilles. I had the EXACT same problem today, but more on that in a minute. Glad to see you checking in!!

Donna, your list of delicious soups sounded sooooo good. Nice cafeteria! (I love Italian Wedding Soup!)

Jen, just hearing you talk about your husband taking the stairs made me want a brownie sundae! hahaha! But with all that shoveling, you probably have earned one (except sounds too cold for ice cream, hehe). Super before/after picture, btw!!

tlatrice13, way to hit the treadmill yesterday! AND more Body Pump and kickboxing on the agenda! You're doing so GREAT!

Laura, enjoy your run and the trainer session! I know you will. :)

So, today was my "long run" (well, "long" for ME). I've been having some problems and blame my shoes getting too worn-out. Well today it was BAD. It was my achilles and also the bones on the top of my foot (left foot). I noticed myself pronating on lift-off and tried to correct it, which only bugged my hip. It was so bad that i nearly quit several times. Then I got quasi-lost and that distracted me long enough that an hour had finally passed. I shoulda gone an extra 5min, but I was on an uphill and my achilles was killing, so I stopped at an hour, and walked straight to the running store for new shoes. Anyway, just got back and measured my route and I can't believe it--I did a little extra bit, in less time! Apparently my speed has gone upto 5.6mph! I felt sooo slow today due to the pain, but guess not. Still slow (judging by the other runners I saw, who were totally booking it), but not too bad. And for anyone who's been keeping score, it's much chillier here now and YES there were still elderly people swimming in the sea!!! haha! I hope I have that much spunk at their age! :)

And they all lived happily ever after, the end. (sorry so long, haha)
