Hi there!
I'm 65 and on a mission to lose weight, get fit and start to feel alive. Rather than just living. I'm British, now retired back to the UK, but have children and a very aged mother in Cape Town, South Africa, where I lived for 45 years. I joined in Jan last year but fell off the weight loss wagon when personal circumstances became very difficult. All more or less sorted now, so I'm determined to have one last bash.
I try and stay within my calorie limit every day, and walk in the countryside (or at home with the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home stuff) at least five times a week, averaging about 3 miles a day. I have around 44 lbs to lose to get to my goal weigh, so am in this for the long haul!
I'd love to join this group, if thats OK with you guys?

Welcome! The more the merrier.
I have South Africa on my bucket list and had many friends from there when I was living in Australia.0 -
Hi Everyone:
I just joined also. I'm 67 now and determined not to become one of those chunky, middle-aged women. As a Baby Boomer, I refuse to get "old." Yeah, older....but not old if you know what I mean.
It's a slow go.....but now that I'm in the diet groove, I'm determined not to lose any ground I've gained.

seamoth and gspieler,
Welcome to this group. I joined the group not too long ago but have found it helpful and supportive.
seamoth,
My wife and I took a cruise to the British Iles in May of last year. Great history and beautiful countryside, but London was wet.
gspieler,
We are neighbors. I live in San Ramon.

This is a great group, full of people who refuse to get old...... I am 62 and in the past four years I have started learning to play guitar, had a tattoo and taken up running......I firmly believe that life is what we make it, health permitting......... loosing excess weight can improve our health and improve our lifestyle........ good luck to you and welcome to the group! :flowerforyou:

jeanmrob,
I got a tattoo (my first) a few years ago. It is Jiminy Cricket, just like my avatar, "When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true."
