Maintaining!!!!

Hi everyone...not been around much the last month...and as a result I seem to be maintaining......lol....sadly I am maintaining about half a stone above where I want to be! I walk and run and eat sensibly...but I know not being here has stopped my progress towards goal. So February is (another) new start for me.

I am telling you all this so you will nag at me, cajole me, encourage me, tell me to get my finger out.....whatever it takes!

Don't hold back!!! :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:

Welcome back, Jean. I've been maintaining also; the doctor said I'm at a healthy weight and shouldn't worry about it. But I'm between sizes and some days nothing fits. I really need to get back on the exercise and calorie kick to lose the last few pounds.

It sometimes crosses my mind that I am setting my goal too low...but I really don't want to think that! It's an excuse I think to slack off..... and I have been four or five pounds lighter just last year....it has been since our holiday in Switzerland followed by Christmas.... I know I know....just shut up and get on with it! lol

Planning a good day today

I have stalled in my losing as well, Maintaining very easily but not losing. And it is time for me to get back to it as well.

We can do this together :) I still have 18 lbs. to go well over a stone.

Would be easier if the weather would just settle down, one week you can walk about outside the next it is below zero and snowy again. But I can't let the stop me.

Seems a few of us are struggling ... I have had a really good day today.........just hoping I can manage another three hours of staying up until the early hours to watch a bit of your Super Bowl........without eating anything else......planning on one more cup of tea, then brush teeth and then paint nails .... lol

I'm maintaining, and if I have a problem it would be I have a tendency to lose a pound or two. Because of my NEW LIFESTYLE, I have trouble gaining.
By the way, just joined this group and glad to see our age group represented so well.

Boy, I can’t help anyone with maintenance tips. I haven’t been within 50 pounds of my maintenance weight in over 40 years. But I’ll let you know when I get there.

Welcome Jim, Wish I had your problem.

It is scary trying to stop the losing and just maintain. Takes me a few years to lose it, maintain for a while, then gain.

TDEE seems to work for a lot of people when I get to maintenance phase I am trying that. I am also doing TDEE -20% to lose, I have stalled for a few weeks now but it was working well for me and I think it will again, my scale doesn't go down but I am in smaller clothes since the stall began, so I have faith it will work again.

I've been maintaining at a healthy weight (even though I would love to lose 5 more) whether I want to or not for almost 10 months. For the life of me, of me I don't know what I'm doing right--or wrong--depending how you look at it. The doctor is pleased so I try not to worry too much.
