It was a big week for me! Not only did I lose 2 lbs, but I got out of the 150's and I've now lost 11 lbs total since I started
Even with the difficult things that are happening in my life right now, I'm still managing to focus on me and my health. My ex boyfriend is moving out today. He bought himself a house and I really am very happy for him. I'm happy to say that we're still friends and I see us remaining friends. Maybe not "be in each other's lives all the time" kind of friends, but we're definitely ending things on good terms. Now.. I'm really ready to focus on me. It's been a long time since I've done that, so I'm looking forward to the journey.
Sheesh - Good job on those steps! I knew you'd step it up (pun intended  ) soon.
I hope the rest of you ladies are doing great!

GREAT JOB KELLY!!!!! So happy things are moving in the right direction for you. Your focus has been incredible!!!
I did not weigh in this morning (hard to change the day after doing the same one for so long). I woke up late and was just a bit harried (forgetting that traffic would be lighter due to the holiday - could have saved a few gray hairs if I had remembered that little tidbit).
I had a great weekend (probably not the best with food and drink intake). Valetines Day, my cousin was visting and came over at the last minute and we ordered pizza and wings (I know). Saturday I did go to group training and pushed out the TRX exercises and the way I was feeling yesterday AND today, I was closer to a 90% participant. Sunday I woke up with a little crick in the knee, I heated it and then went on my hike. I did just under 3 miles in just over an hour (not the best pace, but I'm back out there). Today - no crick in the knee and I'm feeling GREAT!!! I have group training tonight and therapy tomorrow. I'll be jumping on the scale tomorrow morning for my update.
Hoping everyone had a great weekend as well. Super proud of you Kelly!!! Love when we change into the lower brackets!!!0 -
Great job, Kelly. Doesn't it feel great to go down into another decade? (That's what we used to call moving from 150s to 140s and so forth.) I so want to get out of this decade I inched back up into and seem to be stuck in. I know it's intake. I'm just not being as careful as I once was. Little things can add up. Like tonight, hubby forgot and made tartar sauce with regular instead of light mayo. And I should have pass on it, but I still had some the salmon burgers we had because it was getting too late to cook.
The good thing is that I had the day off for Presidents' Day, and I actually did not even log into work for even a few minutes. Consequently, I was able to walk two times and also did errands, so I racked up more than 19,000 steps and burned about 2300 calories. One day won't do miracles, but it makes up for the "no walking" on Sunday. Instead, we took a long drive up toward the mountains to see the pretty farmland in the snow. Mentioning snow, it's coming down again.
Lois, I'm glad to hear that you knee is doing well. Three miles is great. It was not that long ago that you could hardly walk at all.
Sheesh and Light, hope you're doing well. Tomorrow (actually today--as it's after 12:44 a.m. now!) is my weigh-in day, so I'll be back.0 -

Down just over 1/2 a pound this week. I'LL TAKE IT!!!! Especially with what we ate and drank on Friday and Saturday. Though the remainder of the week I did get most of my workouts in as well as eating much better than before. I should be in Onderland in the next couple of weeks - WOO HOO!!!!
Sarah - GREAT JOB on getting your walking in. That's more steps than I got on Sunday with my hike. Any day you can do more, is much better than not doing anything at all...so Congrats to you!! (and thank you for the reminder that I couldn't walk for a while - I tend to forget that often).
Last night's group training kicked my butt and then therapy had a new mentoring PT, so my therapist was so on me today with hand therapy as well as some very intense exercising. I was dripping and shaking when I left and for a while when I got home. I had to shower before laying down to apply the heating pad for 15 mins. But it is feeling pretty good so far.
Just got to work a bit ago so I better get off.... Have a great day everyone and watch what you eat as well as KEEP MOVING!!!!0 -
One thing I promised myself when I joined Short N Sassy back on the bodybugg site is that I would always be honest. You can't fix something that you deny. So, I hate having log a gain, but here it is:
SW: 155
GW: 130
LW: 144.2
TW: 144.8
Change: +.6
Essentially, I keep going up and down the same few pounds. I saw my nutritionist yesterday who asked me why I'm stuck in the 142-145 area and not moving. And of course, I said, I really don't know. So she said, Okay, and if you did know, what would it be? Damn. It would be that my body is used to walking. I would be that I'm not building muscle. I would be that I still go too long between times that I eat. It would be that I still sit too many hours during the work day without getting up for a few minutes. It would be that I eat most of my calories at night. I would be that I don't drink enough water. It would be.....
Crap. So now I have start taking all that on. Or stay in the low to mid-140s. Simple choice.
When I first started with the bodybugg, my body wasn't used to my moving at all, and it responded to that change. And then I was so motivated by the half-pound a week losses that it was easier to remember the low-cal mayo or go to bed a little hungry. Well, that was then and this is now.
So my goal for the week is to eat regularly and try not to go more than 3-3-1/2 hours without eating. I chose that one to work on first because I think it influences my energy and my focus, and those affect everything else.0 -

I just lost what I gained over the last couple of weeks. Actually I don't think it was all due to bad eating. My right leg was more swollen than usual, and it occurred to me that perhaps it was the lymphedema acting up, at least in part. Today my leg is less swollen, and I have been pretty much on track with my eating (except for Saturday). My goal for the month was to hit 226, so it's 50/50 that I will get there! At least I should end lower than I started (230).
Kelly, congrats on breaking 150! And that's good you are still friends with the ex, makes life so much happier.
Lois, that is so great that you are going to hit onderland soon! If I stay on target I should be there in July.
Sarah, I am glad that you are hanging in there. It's hard to keep going some weeks, for sure.0 -
Hey everyone. I've been trying to post since Tuesday, but for some reason I can't log in on my iPad. It keeps telling me about the mobile app, which I already have on my iPad, but I find I can't log on through the app either! I finally got access to the PC my husband is always on. Anyway, here goes:
SW: 156
LW: 135
TW: 135
(No change. Not surprising, since I haven't been logging my food.)
Kelly, iquiltoo, and Lois . . . wow! Congratulations on your losses! Kelly, I'm so excited for you! Great job!! Sarah, you and I need to hang in there and just keep working at it! We'll see some results soon.
As for me, I finished the 30 day squat challenge today with 255 squats!!! Ouch, my legs! It was supposed to end with 250, but my trainer and I kinda lost count once, so we did 5 extra just to be sure:happy: I feel like I haven't been able to lose any weight ever since we started this challenge. It might be my wishful imagination, but I do believe my legs and butt look better! Now, I need to pay more attention to my food intake.0 -
Well, congrats on those losses Congrats to those who maintained (and Sarah, a little up or down like you're doing can be called another week of maintenance I think). I had a pot luck at work on Thurs and woke up 5 lbs heavier then next morning (177 to 182 overnight). Uggh. I lost some of it over the weekend only to have to go from work to the auto shop to get brakes done and had the choice between eating at Taco Bell or skipping supper... so I ate out, which put me right back up again. I still have swelling of my legs so am refusing to do a weigh in this week :P
I was out of town this weekend so my steps were down a bit but what really hurt me was sitting around waiting for the car repairs to get done. By the time I got home, it was bedtime and I have falled pretty far behind in the steps. My goal this week is to get my steps in everyday again. Speaking of which, sorry to be so brief but gotta go do some stepping as bedtime is quickly approaching and I'm very tired...0 -
Sheesh - OMG 255 squats in one session???!! Like I said before your legs and bum must be looking darn MAHVELOUS DAHLIN"!!!! Great job. Oh and with no change, I'm wondering if your legs are holding fluid for repair from so many squats. Would be interesting to check your weight again daily and see if there is any change. Also, I am not always able to log in on my tablet either and the mobile app does provide access to the forums (hopefully that will change in the future).
Light - stay focused. Part of the additional weight could be water retention from the various foods. However, continue to weigh yourself and monitor even if you don't post it on here!! Remember, we're all in this to succeed and assist one another
Great job on the reduction Andrea!! Keep going.
I sneaked a peek at the scale this morning and really toggled whether to post it or not, but here it goes - 201.3. Hoping I can maintain that through the weekend. I have taekwondo testing tonight, so we won't be eating dinner until after 9 and it's at the pizza joint next to the school...though I do order their chicken and pear salad with dressing on the side. I do like their boneless buffalo wings. And then Saturday we are hosting the UFC fight and that group of friends, even though they are all in the medical/fitness field...I dunno we can't seem to get the healthiest of options (though someone is making the shrimp avocado salad - yum). I am making something similar to trail packs (beef stew meat with bbq sauce, carrots, corn and potatoes - but in the crockpot as my grill is down). I don't know what else anyone is bringing. And there will be liquid libations going around. HHHMMM I will be hiking on Sunday morning and I do have training Saturday morning. Going to work hard at good choices.
Have a great weekend and let's focus on the positive choices.0
