Training Tips

Did my first Duathalon and first triathalon last year, and have signed up for another tri in September. I am looking for some training tips. Biking is my strong suit right now, and I m a decent runner, and I am not the fastest swimmer. So are brick workouts the way to go? What would you suggest? Any and all suggestions welcome. Also could use to add some more friends in this arena.

I've been using the Sufferfest novice program to increase my biking, I figured it would be an easy 10 weeks considering I've always through myself strong on the bike. It's been beating my *kitten* and there have been some very real performance increases.
Trainerroad is also an excellent app for indoor training and analysis.
Bricks are fun, but you would probably need to focus on building a good endurance base over a transitional comfort, so that would mean time on the bike, time in the running shoes, and most importantly, time in the pool.
I've been using the Total Immersion books as a point of reference for learning to glide and balance better in the water. That might be helpful. I also got a personal coach for the swim portion, and that helped a lot since swimming is very technique driven.
Finally, I would say, look around for local tri clubs, that might be a good resource. I've joined a local one, and I'm thinking of joining the local running/drinking club.0 -
Thanks, I will check out Sufferfest, sounds like it is right up my alley! Appreciate the help.0
