My numbers for the week....Weight loss of 2.1 lbs . Exercise cardo: 275 (45 of that is combat) , strength: 150 (60 of that is leg's), 20 min's bring sally up. SaraAlexandre adopted me and gave me 10 min's and I adopted Hajenkatt and gave her 10 min's. None of those min's are added in to any of my times.0

My totals for the week:
Cardio- 340 minutes (95 of those are combat cardio minutes)
Strength- 145 minutes (including 10 minutes to simpersea from Carol) - all but 20 minutes was leg stuff)
Stayed within Calorie goal too
I also did 20 minutes of Sally Squats for anyone who needs them in here. I don't need them this week, so if you're short- let TJ know so she can use them!
I also lost a total of 5.1 pounds!! Sooooo looks like that cardio combat stuff works (Even if I hate it)0 -

I had to work hard to get my titans this week. I got them but no extra. I did stick to my calorie goals according to my fitbit. I will weigh next week and see where I'm at - was TOM this week so didn't want to do it yet. Looking forward to see where we are at in the standing. Looks like everyone is working hard!0

Scores have been calculated and about to be turned in. Mika and Lizzie your teams overall exercise minutes were pretty good. You did have one person not turn in scores and one person quit. But overall you guys are doing awesome as a begginner team.
Just remember to try to check in with your teammates more and maybe challenge each other to bigger and better. Its all about stepping outside your comfort zone and finding new ways of getting yourself fit.0 -

On the 4th Early Bird Challenge, I told the players that they have the opportunity to get 2 points in week 9 if they add a fitspo (a picture and a quote) to the Fitspiration thread by the end of the challenge. You don't have to do it until the end and we can help you add it if it's still giving you trouble. Your part is to think up a quote and/or picture that inspires you so that you may inspire others. :flowerforyou:

Finally feeling better! Did my zombie run for an hour and 5 minutes today a great way to start the week and get ready for out episode tonight! I think we are going to see done big things from Mika and Lizzie this season!0

What we learned from the show this week was that some strangers are enemies and some appear to be friends and may help you on your journey. The top four highest scoring teams of this week's challenge (which will be announced next Monday) will get to choose Abraham, Rosita, Eugene or Tara to add to their team and have their kills added to their team's scores for the rest of the challenge starting with the March 1st episode. Winning team chooses first and so on.0 -

Alright - come on team - let's hit this week and be in the top four so we can get a new character on our team! I am back and ready to hit it hard. I've already got over 100 min. in cardio (and I am still doing my upper cuts and kicks while doing my walking - because I do intervals of walking and running). Also this cardio is while doing the zombie run and I am really kicking butt in evading those zombies! I am going to challenge all of my teammates to get to 300 on our cardio. Can we do it??
Also I start back on my New Rules of Lifting this week so I will easily get my 90 min. of strength training. And I am looking forward to the punishment. I could really feel a difference in my butt and thighs from doing those squats last week.
I've had 3 people at work tell me that I look like I've lost weight. And I can see it too. I'm going to do new measurements and check my weight on Thursday this week. I've not had good luck losing actual weight so I'm focusing more on losing inches and toning so I am not going to get caught up on what the scale says.0 -

Tyreese and Sasha have decided that everyone should complete 5 minutes per day (for 5 days) of Wall Squats. These can be included in your strength totals. There are a few versions of Wall Squats, facing or not facing the wall, with or without a ball or weights.....Choose one appropriate to your fitness level.0

Yoga is definitely a weakness for me as I am not a fan of it, but it's so important for your muscles, core, and mind. Looks like P90X Yoga and I will be friends this week Lol Let's do this, team! Awesome - more squats!! I like the resting your mind part too - I really should do that more often I tend to just go go go. I did hot yoga for a while and loved it - they didn't make the class schedule time friendly for my work hours though so its really hard to get there on a consistent basis. I think I will do planks for my core exercise - I have been meaning to incorporate those so now is a good time.
Let's see about me. I am one of those girls who never had a weight problem growing up. Couldn't hit 110 if I tried. I was always very active and outgoing, doing things like cheerleading, twirl, but was never ever a runner. I joined the Navy and passing the run was one of the most challenging parts for me - could do all the pushup in the world. I started gaining around 32 and no matter what I did it would not come off. Around 40 I was very overweight, how much I don't know because I wouldn't step on the scales, but I went from my size 3/5 to about a size 16 (and I'm only 5'2). I would say looking back now I was probably over 200. I started having hypoglycemic episdoes and it really scared me. I did not want to be a diabetic. I researched online and found Jay Robb. Bought his book and started implementing his practices. Lost back down to around 135 and was back to wearing a size 5 again. After I married my husband about 3 years ago, I slowly started putting on the weight again. I am now almost 50, going into menopause and it has been heck getting it back off again. I still implement a lot of Jay Robb's philosophy, I still do my shakes, really try to cut the processed foods, eat more veggies and fruit. I want to be fit and healthy, not just skinny so I am learing to run (thanks to my zombie run) and am doing more weight lifting. Oh, and I love science fiction, futuristic movies, scary movies and that's where walking dead comes in.
I'm ready to get this weight off in a healthy way and be fit and healthy for my 50th birthday coming up!0 -
Jchrisman - that is a great story!! Its nice to see why people are on the journey they are and I hope you acheive all of your goals.

Did an hour of yoga tonight, and it actually wasn't bad!! I hadn't done it in a while, so I figured I'd throw in the P90X video. The hour went by much faster than I thought, and I found that I can do a lot of the moves a lot easier than when I first got P90X. I've never been a fan of yoga, but at least I can tolerate it now because it isn't so difficult.

Checking in - had a little tummy problem yesterday so I didn't get my run in but I did do my strength (weights) and my core work and my wall squats. Feeling better today so I'm going to be back at the gym doing my run and then getting some more strength and core work in. All these squats - man I am feeling it. I am bumping up my running too so its a lot on my lower body. I should try to mix it up a bit but I really love doing my zombie run - it helps me to get there and get moving because I look forward to it. I just wish I had a longer lunch hour because after doing my zombie run I am pumped and would probably do another hour of gym work if I had the time.
I want to step on the scales tomorrow and redo my measurements to see where I am at. I am nervous about doing that because if I don't show loss it really deflates my motivation. But I feel I really need to do a check to see if I'm seeing results. I should be. I have been really good on my food and keeping it below my deficit.
How's everyone else doing?? Are we going to get another character on our team? Who would you all pick if we are able to? I don't read the comics so Abraham is new to me but he seems pretty bad *kitten*. Also, I think that Tara may be picking up her zombie killing pace in the future.0 -

So I ran my numbers after my cardio today and I will hit my 300 min. cardio goal and hit all my other strength, core, squats goals for the group. So I don't know if anyone needs help with cardio but I will be over mine and will be happy to donate some to a group member if needed. I'd really like to adopt a new character next week!0
