Macros Help!!

I am 5'6" and weigh 190, I am looking to cut fat, I have a lot of muscle because I am a former collegiate athlete and I calculated my macros to be 165g protein, 165g carbs, and 82g fat, is that too much fat?? I guess I could also do 165g protein, 182g carbs, and 79g fat. HELP!! :)

  • Just did it on iifym calculator and it says calories 1992, 171g carb, 156g protein, and 76g fat. Does that sound better??

    Any of the above should work. I wouldn't go lower on fats or protein than the last numbers you listed, though. And don't worry about the higher fat grams since it's overall calories that will determine body fat loss or gain and not grams of fat.

    So stick to what you have listed here for a while and see if you're liking the results or want to tweak things a bit. Good luck.
