The Toughest Part

Ok. I know that we all love that feeling when the workout is done. But I have discovered something:

I think I dread the warm-ups more than I do the actual workouts.

When you think of your next workout, do you think about the 10 minutes of warm-up exercises that you will have to do, or do you really dread the workouts? INSANITY can get tedious at times, but I know that when I start, I do not want to move at all, and I start feeling it about 3 minutes in to the warm-up, but once I am in it and after the stretches, I can do more and I actually like it.

Either way, I think that it is one of the challenges, knowing that you do not like it, but "pushing through" to get to that euphoric stage of the end. Doing what you have to to get where you want to be. It is a microcosm in a way. So, what are your guys' thoughts on it?

  • I know that feeling all too well *sigh* I'll put in the Insanity Dvd, wait for it to start, then press pause and stand there for a few minutes staring at the screen.. You know that once you push play it's time to "GO!" .. to get motivated, I do a boxer shuffle, give the air a lil one two & think about the reward for finishing.. its just like a job, if you don't go to work, you don't get paid ;)
