Small victories/ progress

Options
So I am in no way finished with my Journey. I have a LONG way to go. But when I started Paleo on January 1st 2014 I decided I would take monthly measurements to help keep me motivated. So here I am one month later and my results are awesome! I know not every month will be this great, but for those of you wavering, here are my results (keeping in mind I have a lot of weight to lose)

18 pounds lighter
-3/4 inches off my neck
-3 inches around my chest
-3 inches around my waist
-2 and 1/4 inches around my stomach
-1/4 inch on my thigh.

I have lost 18 pounds and 9 1/4 inches in one month. plus I feel AMAZING. No doubt about it paleo is the way to go. I thought I would share my progress, bc I view it as a small victory! Also if any Newbies or sort of newbies ( like me) are looking for friends for support, hit me up wit a friend request!

I don't know if this is a "victory" but in an effort to get my gym's paleo challenge off on the right foot I was a busy bee in the kitchen on Sunday and I made 5 new recipes for my meals this week! It was a lot of fun and the ones I have eaten so far were quite good. Looking forward to trying the rest as the week goes on.

thanks everyone! And yes please share your recipes! lol. I have a pintrest board where i store the paleo recipes i find on blogs. I will admit though i tried a paleo chocolate chip cookie recipe last night for the first time. I havent made any paleo desserts in the almost 40 days i have been paleo, but my birthday is on MOnday and I wanted to have something i could eat. They were a MISERABLE failure. they were so dry they sucked all the moisture out of my mouth and i threw them away. i guess i will have a bowl of fruit with a candle in it on Monday

I know the feeling, I made some snicker doodles at Christmas that were all Paleo and they tasted good coming out of the oven but were gross the next day.

I'm not big on Paleo substitutes but there's a bacon (that's right: BACON) chocolate chip cookie recipe out there that is awesome. I like anything with pumpkin too.

I went right through my birthday with nothing sweet (everyone was sad about "no cake" but me). If I need something sweet I will toss a chocolate square in my mouth and let it melt. Also I love buttered pop corn and went to the theater a week or so ago and had toasted almonds in ghee it was like pop corn to me, I need to make more.
