Keto MFP Macros Question for Newbie

Hi, I searched through the threads and there may be something about this, but I'm confused. I am of the understanding that Keto diet is generally a higher fat, adequate protein and low carb. So, when starting this way of eating, I set my MFP goals to a 1200 calorie a day 10%carb (30g), 70% fat(93g) and 20%protein(60g), which seemed to make sense relatively.
But now I played around with it, and made my calorie count 1300 and changed my goals to 5% carbs, 30% protein and 65% fat trying to stay in line with the more "traditional" keto percentages that I've read about (still very new to this).
But now, using 5% carb, 30%protein and 65% fat on a 1300 cal a day, it comes out to 16g carbs, 98g protein and 94g fat. The carbs make sense, but why would my protein show higher than my fat, when the fat is set to 65% and protein 30%.
I don't understand. Is there anyone who can help me better understand this. Thanks very much!

You can do it with gms or cals, just don't mix them up when coming up with a number. I do it with cals because its easy,my macro targets are 80% cals from Fat, 15% from protein and 5% from carbs. If I was tracking with gms I would probably go 65%fat, 25-30% protein and rest carbs. Your math doesn't add up to 1300 cals from the 16g carb,98g protein and 94 g fat.0

General Rule of Thumb
1 gram of fat = 9 calories
1 gram of protein or carb = 4 calories0 -
Thanks for the tips... yeah - it's weird on the math - because when I set my calories, then adjusted the percentages MFP autocalculated the gms as such. I'll play around some more. Thanks again.0
