    Rest day today! :)

I would've liked to have worked out, but I know I need recovery time. I've been feeling a bit of a sore throat coming on, so I don't want to tempt fate. Anyway, rain kept us home, so it's been total rest and recovery.

Hope everyone's having a good day.

I'm walking with a friend at lunch, then have my trainer tonight. Am scheduled to run but am going to wait & see how my knees feel. They're a little sore this morning.

Enjoy your rest day Sherry - hope you're able to hold off getting sick.

    Enjoy your rest day, Sherry!

Nice walk, Laura. Hope Jason is pleased with all your work. Hope the knee feels better, too.

Maria, did you get to do anything today?

We were supposed to get a huge snow storm, but it didn't get cold enough quite early enough, to make it as plan as predicted. When I woke at 3:30 am and saw no white stuff yet, I knew that we couldn't possibly get the 12" by 6 am. We did get a nice layer of ice; it is VERY slippery out; and about 4-6 inches of snow on top of it by noon.

I went to work this morning, but most people took a vacation day today. It was very slippery driving to work and the car slid a couple of times. Once at work, I got a call from my pet sitter telling me that she wouldn't be able to get to my house today. So I worked about 5 hours and then went home.

Exercise-wise I got one stair workout in at 9:30 am and since I knew it would be the only exercise I might get today, I really threw myself into it for the 10 minutes I did it. Stairs, desk pushups, calf raises, and squats.

Once home, I leashed the dogs and we went on a slippery sometimes, half the calf deep snow sometimes, and slushy sometimes, 5k walk. We were tired by the end. I don't think any of the roads got much plowing today. They probably ran out of money and salt to handle all the winter we've gotten this year. Most business parking lots were done. The schools and public buildings however had pristine snow on their driveways and parking lots. I don't know what they're going to do tomorrow.

Today was a busy day for me! I cleaned the house and then went to the gym did 10 min on the treadmill started to feel some soreness in my hip so I stopped. I completed a 60 minute Power class (weights) and a 30 mins Abs circuit! I am pooped and tired going to bed early tonight!

Donna you're amazing. That is all.

After a quick warm-up walk I ran a mile before my trainer workout. Realized he was running late so I got on the rowing machine until he was free (which turned out to be 7 minutes). Tonight was a total body workout, then I ran another mile after. Knees are a little achy but running didn't make them feel any worse so I'm glad I got it in. It could just be the weather making me achy. It was -18F when I went to work this morning and it was up to +9 but snowing when I left work.
