Method for water breaks?

During Fit Test 2, I discovered something. I performed better when I used the short breaks to do the breathing exercise. I would do as they do just before stretching. I found that to propel me through the fit test, and do my best. Maybe that can be applied to the workout routines?
Any other ideas on how to quickly recuperate?

The only workout where I feel it gets kinda tricky on when to break is Pure Cardio - since after the stretches there are no breaks until the workout is over.0
