Day 17 & half way through week 3

Good morning,
Pure Cardio was quite something this morning, I managed to dig a little deeper with cardio abs which was great. Day 17 done and only 11 days till the end of month 1...not that I am counting but time fly's when you're having fun!!!
I don't have a scale soI don't know if I have lost anything but I have lost a few CM's here and there which I'll take!!!
Looking forward to recovery tomorrow!!

Great job! It's probably better not having a scale that way you don't obsess over it. I haven't lost very much at all in weight but I feel different and see a slightly smaller waist.
I pushed harder today and really felt it. My favorite part is the feeling after the workouts! Recovery will be a welcome workout tomorrow.0 -
I agree the feeling after is the best. I find that how I feel about it improves as I get further into the video. I start off thinking I really don't want to do this, and I feel really slugish but then I start pushing a little harder, moving a little faster, and I start feeling better and better.
I'm very excited to say that I'm still here. I now have confidence that I will complete the first month, I'm just scared about the second month, it's going to be harder and longer, and the longer is really only a concern because I get up in the mornings to do them, and I'll have to get up earlier. But I guess I shouldn't get a head of myself. Yay us!0 -
I really had to push myself to finish today. But I'm so glad I did. Idk why, but pure cardio is my least favorite. But making pathetic whining noises helps for some reason ( so glad I do the videos before anyone else is up!)0

I don't think I pushed myself with the cardio abs as much as I could have.. But its done..blah.. I kinda just went through the motions of the workouts today & am not that proud of myself for it. I'm thinking an extra workout tonight might be in order..
**Does anybody else get heartburn while doing the Ab work?? ... it could just be when/what I'm eating...0 -
Pure Cardio Done!! Wasn't able to do Cardio Abs... ran out of time... early dentist appointment.
Nailed it! Getting better every time I do it!!
Success for me will be when I can get through all the videos without stopping!

Did it! I feel like I didn't push myself yet I was out of breath and dripping sweat?!?! Anyone else getting that? Also, for the Cardio Abs, I feel it in my BACK not my abs while doing the workout (though the next day I feel it deep within m abs and my back is fine). Am I doing the exercises in poor form or is my back that weak?0

Great job everyone!!!!
I wound up stopping after week one due to a week long migraine that grounded me. I decided I wasn't ready to tackle INSANITY just yet, but haven't stopped moving. My 10 year old son and I have started doing Hip Hop Abs this week and we just completed Day 3 today. I'm also doing C25K and completed Week 1 Day 2 today. I definitely still want to complete INSANITY at some point, but would like to work up my stamina a bit first.

Bri... we all have our challenges. I do not know what it is like to have migranes, but I have heard that it is hard to control, and even harder to deal with, so I hope that you are able to control them better at some point. You WILL get to that level at some point.
As for me, I did Pure Cardio, and I am saving Cardio abs for later tonight. I have found an alternative to the Cardio Abs, and that is the 12 minute ab circuit at Planet Fitness. My girlfriend has a membership there. My lower back takes a beating, and I do not yet have the strength to control my back in the C-sit position, so I can only sustain for like 10 seconds because of that.
If you guys have any recommendations, I would love to hear them, as I am looking for some new ideas for that to finish out week 4 (I have never made it to week 4 before!).

I don't get heartburn, but I know if something is sitting in my stomach, it wants to come back up when I work the midsection hard enough... I sometimes have to force it to settle again by resting temporarily. It happens more in the horizontal, of course, due to gravity. Drinking too much water at the break, for instance, will instigate that reaction. The water just picks up what is already there, and that may be what makes it acidic like heartburn. Hope that is not too much info, but was the simplest way to describe.
p.s.---- I always carb up before the workouts, and then wait >30 minutes before actually working out to allow the food to digest and the blood to take the nutrients in.0
