I got a little carried away on the Subject. But we all know that pang, the urge to have some tasty little sweet. For those of us trying to lose weight it's a terrifying siren's call that threatens our balance on the wagon. For those of us trying to gain weight, it's a perilous food topic, wondering if it's "good" calories or if you'll be gaining unhealthy weight. We all go about finding a healthy relationship with our food differently. I'd like us to share our favorite, good for you dessert recipes! I'll start with my new personal favorite; Pineapple Whip.
Pineapple Whip
Yield: 8 servings (ish)
Ingredients
1 VERY ripe pineapple
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions-
1. Take your VERY ripe pineapple (I mean, super ripe. It's delicious.) and slice it up into chunks.
2. Lay your pineapple chunks on a baking sheet and pop it in the freezer for about 20 minutes(depending on your freezer) until the chunks are frozen solid.
3. Pull the pineapple out of the freezer and put the chunks in your blender with the almond milk and vanilla.
4. Pulse that mix until the pineapple chunks are gone and you are left with a delicious treat!
Nutritional facts-
Calories per serving: 72
Carbs: 18
Fat: 1
Protien: 1
Sodium: 21
Sugar: 14
I do have to suggest that you make this with a large group of people, or leave the frozen pineapple in the freezer and make it in smaller batches. It makes a lot and the effect of the whip is lost if you freeze it after mixing.
So what do you make for a treat when you have a craving?

An even more tropical variation would be to replace the almond milk with unsweetened coconut milk. And for those of us who are not on low-carb diets, a smidgen of condensed milk would be fab.

Sounds delicious!!
I like fresh strawberries dipped in erythritol (a sugar alcohol that looks & tastes like sugar & isn't too rough on the digestive system) --current favorite.
Guylian no sugar added Belgium Milk Chocolate is really good--it's heavenly-- but it's hard to eat just one serving.0
