percentages carbs vs protein vs fat

I've been eating low carb for 2 weeks now and I am really liking it. I don't feel I get hungry at all. I've only lost 4 lbs. though and that's not making me happy. I'm not sure what percentages I need to be doing with fat and protein. I am trying to eat no more than 20 carbs in a day. Any help>

4lbs in 2 weeks is 2lb per week. That's phenomenal for pretty much anyone doing anything. Some people see a big change in the scale at first because they lose a bunch of water weight, and it levels out by the end of the first month. Then there's also other factors, like activity level, other changes one makes at the same time, previous diet, etc.

Low carb isn't a miracle diet or anything. Don't try to compare your scale changes to other people's. You're doing great and it seems your setup is working for you. At the very least, give it another couple of weeks before you try changing anything.

That's really good for low carb. Keep with it and don't compare your progress to others, ESPECIALLY guys doing low carb. They tend to lose faster.
  • I stick to 65-70%fat, 10%carbs and the remainder protein

Hi there, I'm doing low carb with high fat for the first time. I did low carb a couple of years ago & did well but was hungry all the time. I know know that low carb & low fat is the reason why. I'm loving the extra fat I can eat & I've lost 5 lbs in since the beginning of the month. I'd love some low carb/high fat friends so I can see your diaries if anyone wants to add me it would be great!

And 4 lbs in 2 weeks is great! like others said, don't compare your loss to others, a loss is great,no matter what the number.

Can you tell me what that means for me? I weigh 181 and would like to stay between 1350 - 1500 calories. Thank you!
