Hi,I have started induction today.I have been trying the low carb for 2 weeks and now i am starting the real deal.I wanted to know can I have almonds during inductions ?I read in the book that nuts are not allowed but came across someone who did have almonds during induction and could lose abt 30 lbs!I really find it hard to satisfy my sweet tooth.have some 25 lbs to loose.Do you just count net carbs or even where they are coming from matters?

If a person was eating almonds then no they weren't following induction...
I see a lot where people make up their own version and say they are doing induction but no they aren't...
I would suggest actually finishing out induction as instructed and not changing it at all and then when that phase is finished move up to OWL and add those things back in slowly.
I make a lot of allowable sweet treats... Take one oz cream cheese and microwave for 30 seconds. Add a tiny splash vanilla and artificial sweetner of your choice and dark cocoa powder.... Eat warm or freeze.... I can't eat it every day but it was saved me in a pinch! (I usually stay in induction carb levels for months but after a long while I'll add back in some things and when I do I also add 1 tbsp fresh crushed peanut butter to it and it's even better.. But not the jar stuff because it has added sugar)
I don't mess with net carbs because I don't eat any of the products with sugar alcohols or anything... And all my carbs come from veggies usually.....0 -
I believe the reason Almonds are a "no" on induction is because most people cannot limit themselves to 1 serving (6 almonds) and that adds a lot of carbs.0
