Just thought I'd say hello, not used this site before and am just starting to get myself back into shape and to shed some pounds by calorie counting, this looks like an excellent site, no idea how I've missed it before. Dunno if this video clip might be of interest to you cyclists, my experience may be familiar to many of you. It was an experience I had a week or so ago that I captured with my helmet camera, I decided to send the driver a personal message.

Welcome! Scary stuff. I like the approach of making a personal plea. Too often we are seen as obstacles to cars getting from point A to B instead of people. I try make a personal connection rather than confrontation.

Strangely I seem to be having the problem where drivers give me too wide a berth to the point where they nearly crash into oncoming traffic. Happened today. I tried to catch up to the driver to have a conversation at the next light but my winter legs weren't up to the task. Stay safe out there.
