I've completed the advanced program before so feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I have a excel spreadsheet of the advanced workouts that one of the ladies on facebook made. If you'd like a copy then just PM me your email and I can forward it on.

Cheers, Gemma

  • I'm hearing really good things about the book and want to start one of the programs. However, I just started Starting Strength. Did you lift before doing the Strong Curves program? I'm thinking if I should get more accustomed to lifting heavy with Starting Strength for a few months before starting Strong Curves. Will probably order the book soon though!

Hey Bella, just saw this. I did some lifting before Strong Curves but very off and on and was having trouble progressing. I still consider myself a novice! I'm loving Strong Curves. Easy to follow and I really feel it in my glutes.

I chose to go with Strong Curves because I'm more interested in lower body aesthetics first, strength second, so this fits my goals better. Once I feel I have better body symmetry I'll add in more pure strength training.

Most would probably start with strength I guess. There's no right or wrong, do what ya enjoy!

I would also really like the information. I've been lifting for a while now but rather than just becoming super strong, I want a better body, and I want it yesterday! It is mainly my bottom half that needs work so I think this might be the programme for me, if I could just find out what the exercises were!

I would love to have the Excel document, I'll PM you :)

Also wondering, I don't have a band at the gym to do the seated band abduction... Do you ladies think I can replace it with the abductor machine instead? Or just do the cable abduction like in workout A? What do you think?

I think either one would work fine. I carry my own band to the gym. But on the days I forget I just do the cable abduction since my gym doesn't have an abductor machine.
