Yeah. Ok. I accept. My son has been visiting and that of course meant a party, which meant food...lots and lots of food. HOWEVER - I did make some VERY HEALTHY options which were DEVOURED. I had a mango-avocado salsa and the butternut squash, kale and quinoa salad. Oh they were tasty. I also made LEAN hamburgers and chicken breasts. My friends brought the bad stuff LOL. Anyway, we had a great time. My steps are up this week considerably as my son and I have been hiking my mountain every morning (except today he slept). It's been fun having him home. He leaves to be with his wife tomorrow afternoon and will return Saturday for the weekend. He heads back to Camp Lejeune Monday morning. m really enjoying my time with him. I took vacay time to hang with him.

Sheesh - I love passing you, but not because you've been ill. I hope you feel better soon. I totally get what you mean by needing people. I too have a gym set up at home and it was nice to have the trainer come to the house. But I am enjoying the challenge and interaction with the other clients in the new group class (when I don't get frustrated from being stuck in traffic and late for class). Keep our options open. Try using Deal Chicken or Groupon to expose yourself to new environs to see if you can find a group that works for you.

Kelly - I am still trying to catch you!!! Aren't you off sometime soon. LOL

Sarah - good idea for the hiking shoes. I hope it dries out for you soon. I won't rub it in because way too soon this year we are going to be in triple digits. It's too hot to hike at 9am here already!!

Goal for the week is getting in my hike in the am and work out with the group class while i'm off the rest of the week. I've got a rough Saturday ahead of me with yet another party and THE BEST margaritas ever. I am going to bring a smaller sippee cup with me so hopefully will aid in not drinking quite so much of it.

LIGHT!!! Where are you!??!?!

Have a great week and will check in again as I am able.

    Hi, all,

I'm quickly checking in while waiting for a return e-mail (work). I'm still waiting for the BodyMedia customer service person to send me instructions for returning my malfunctioning unit. It quit counting steps, started back, then quit again. I've sent two follow-up e-mails, to no avail, so I'm planning to call today. I have a headset and will hold on for eternity if needed!

Will be back soon to log some stats. Sheesh, I hope you're fully recovered. I think about all of you and wonder if I should just switch to Fitbit, but I looked at one at the sporting goods store on Sunday, and I'm pretty sure that I'd lose one in no time! I can hardly keep up with the key fob for the car. Honestly--I just prefer keys. A key, you can put in a sports bra, no problem!

I'm so frustrated. I cannot get BodyMedia to get back with me with directions on how to get a replacement armband, and this one continues to malfunction. I popped in after uploading and seeing that my steps weren't counted yesterday after an 80-miinute walk. I was so looking forward to seeing more than 10,000. Anyway, I was hoping that someone had posted since I was here early this morning. It was a killer work day. I worked from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with hardly a break. No walking for me today. Arrrrrgh. I do hope things get easier soon. I thought once that report was out.....

Kelly, how are you doing with logging food? I struggle with that lately myself. Lois, I share your concern about Light. She had a tough time a while back, and I hope all is okay with her. Sheesh, I expect you are readying things for spring break with your daughter and grandchildren.

Saturday, we have tickets for the Nationals game. It's the last pre-season game and the first one played at Nationals Park here in DC this season. I love baseball! The 10 forecast had said sunny and 60s. That has now changed to rain and in the 50's. Hope it changes back again!

sorry to have dropped off the radar and posting. It's been crazy on my end, both with work and personal stuff... in short, grandsons have been moved out of state... far out of state and I have significant concerns about issues on that front. They sent their chickens home with me (would rather have taken the grandsons!) and I spent a weekend building a chicken house/run for them before heading back to work the next day. I have been ignoring my yard and house for weeks/months while traveling to Grandbabyland to make sure the little ones were being properly cared for and in a safe environment so the last 2 weekends I spent in my yard (with the hopes of a little mental health adjustment on my end.) Been slammed at work with a new program that they are rolling out which has required long hours both at the office and for weekend/evening training sessions which certainly put a dent into what I could do step wise. Had one really great week and then totally crashed for the last one. Gotta go in for a few hours again tomorrow and an hour early on Monday in preparation for the grand roll out and expect next week to be just as bad as last week was as we iron out the inevitable issues/problems with transferring to the new system while keeping up with a very busy schedule as the kids all return from spring break in time for needing forms for college/.kindergarten/7th grade registrations which are beginning. WHEW! It has all hit at once and not a good time for me to also have been down with oak allergy issues/wheezing and congestion which then went into a sinus infection. I am just about over all that... just about. But to say I'm stressed, worn out and tired is an understatement.

I tried logging foods and getting the exercise but sometime over the last week found it was just too much on top of everything else. I have a freezer full of portioned out and appropriate calorie counted meals that I set up last month so I know I am eating properly even if I'm not logging it. Yeah. :) Weight has remained within the same pound all month... up a little, down a little and currently sitting at 177.0 Don't remember what it was when I logged in last... I'd like to be losing but with everything that's going on, I'm okay with maintaining. So, anyways, that's what's been going on with me. Something had to give, so I gave up any internet time.

Sarah, sorry you are having so many issues with the BB replacement. You obviously got a dud and it needs to be exchanged... shouldn't be that difficult. I hope you can get it resolved soon. There's no point in having a device that isn't functioning. As for losing the fitbit? They have different styles and I have one that clips in my bra so it is out of the way and secure. I would certainly lose the one that you carry in your pocket. Have fun at the Nationals game :) Hope the weather turns out to be better than predicted.

Sheesh, it appears you've been sick. I hope you are feeling better soon...

Lois, sounds like you've had a nice time with your son visiting :) Good effort on your part to eat healthy... just got too tempted by what the others brought? I can understand that. If it's not in the house, I don't eat it but it doesn't mean I don't miss it and want it when it's set out on the table.

I hope the rest of you are doing okay... please forgive me for not taking the time to read past postings but I have to get the laundry and housework done today and am so far behind in things around the house. There is only so much time and so much energy left in me right now...
