Phasing Out Soon and Looking for Work Out Buddies

Hi All,

I was on IP last summer and lost 25 pounds. I did not exercise while on protocol, just walked a lot. Right as I entered Phase 3 I started upping my walking pace and distance. On the day I started Phase 4, I also started Jillian MIchael's 30 Day Shred for the first time. While I had lost weight and was fitting in my goal jeans, I wanted to tone up and see if a 6 pack was achievable in my life time. My profile picture shows me on the left before I started IP and the after photo on the right is after I completed the 30 Day Shred.

I gained some pounds over the winter and am currently back on IP for a few weeks to lose them and clean up my eating routine. I am going to start the 30 Day Shred on April 10. If anyone is phasing out about then and wants a post IP work out buddy please let me know.

I think it could be good motivation for people on this discussion board to see what Ideal Protein Alumni can go on to accomplish after they work so hard to lose all the weight. :)

Best,

sdkyne

My unofficial (home scale, not at the clinic) weight this morning was one pound under my goal. I will be starting Phase 2 on Friday.
I plan to up my exercise as I move toward Phase 4 and I love the idea of starting the 30-day shred at that time.
By April 10? I don't know. Two weeks on Phase 2 and two weeks on Phase 3; right?
Would love to join an " IP Alum Group". Great idea!

Yay Jan! Starting week two of phase two and am a little apprehensive about phase 3. I have done a lot of surfing and found some good meal ideas. I would love to hear anymore people may have to share.

    Jan,
Let me know when you are ready to start the 30 day shred. I may be up for round 2 by then. :)

In the meantime, I'd love thoughts on what an IP Alumni group would look like and how to support. ljantgen mentions recipes. I want exercise and daily motivation in the form of support plus reminders of why I did IP in the first place. In addition to losing weight, I want to be healthy from head to toe.

Any other ideas on what a IP Alumni group's goals and objectives would be?

    Best,
    Sharon

I think you nailed it. Support, recipes, motivation and reminders. All stuff we may need going forward.

Staying on track with meal ideas is one of my top concerns at this point, too.
The psychological aspect of this whole "don't let the fat girl out again" issue is also high on my priority list. Affirmations in the way of books, documentaries, etc. that help keep the healthy lifestyle mindset going are so helpful to me...sharing links and titles here would be great.
Physical activity and mini goals we can set together would be so great...I should be ready for 30-Day Shred shortly after Easter. C25K is another interest. I have always hated running, but I think I'm ready to try it again!

I plan to phase off around Easter.
I would love to join in with the motivation and support on phase 4
    Lifetime healthy and fit!

Yay! I am so glad you all are responding.

How about I create a IP Alumni group towards the end of April, that is when a few of you seem ready for transition?

Jan- I would love to do C25K too. I used to run a lot, before I had children. I have run off and on over the years since, but never in a training mode. I bet combining 30DS and C25K would have interesting results...

Sounds good. I may start a phase 3 thread short term to share meal ideas. :)
