I have never really been a people pleaser, I was more the opposite, but I can somewhat relate to today’s reading. I have used manipulation in my favor because of being fearful of a potential outcome. I think I have to spend a little time on this one.
Does anyone else relate to this reading?

For me, the last phrase resonates. "...give up pleasing people just to gain approval." At some level, I have always tried to please others. Because I was not able to see my own worth and value, I sought to get approval from those around me. The only way to get that approval was to perfect, as defined by everyone else around me, as opposed to being my own version of me. I may not be perfect, but I am doing the best that I can, and that is going to have to be good enough.0

I've been struggling with people pleasing all of my life. Most of my thoughts are concerned with this… Todays message resonated with me as far as my job goes as I saw that I continue to look at others for my self esteem. Instead of just doing my job, I go out and want approval and, therefore, "love". So, yes, today's message did resonate for me.0
