Anyone doing low carb, please give suggestions. I am averaging 50 carbs a day and not losing anything. That is because on my cheat days, I REALLY cheat. On an average day it is about 20-25 carbs. Think I need to adjust to more on an average day? I have been doing this over a year.

if you aren't losing weight after a year of low carb Id watch your calorie intake and see if that has something to do with it.0

Agreed. In the end, calories do matter. Carb restriction helps with other things, like hunger and insulin resistance. Like they say, calories for weight loss, macros for health.
When you cheat, do you go over on calories by a lot as well? Perhaps you can increase your daily carb limit to 50-75 net carbs to allow for some more flexibility. Do you cheat because you feel deprived, or because you feel hungry? If you're not going over your calorie limit by a lot, have you consulted a doctor about this? There are underlying conditions that can cause one to not lose weight even while maintaining a caloric deficit.0 -
How often do you cheat? How many carbs, fats protein do you eat? Whats your daily in take?Get your RMR measured, not from the formulas on internet but from testing.0

I cheat usually one day a weekend due to going out to eat, not that I feel deprived or anything. On cheat days my caloric intake my be 1600-1800, fat 80, carbs 75, and protein 77. Desserts are my weakness. My caloric intake on average is 1300 with fat 80-90. Yes, I consulted a doctor last year before I started low carb when I gained 40 lbs within 8 months. I actually went to 2 different doctors and 2 different dieticians. At that time I was doing low calorie, low fat, exercising 6-7 days a week and GAINING!! They all told me I had a near perfect diet to cut down to 1000 calories a day. I thought they were crazy! I was going through a stressful time in my life at the time. When that ended I started low carb and dropped 30 lbs but can't seem to lose the other 10-15. My goal is 25% carbs (usually end up with about 15%), 35% fat (end up with 55%), and 40% protein (end up with 30%). I am still exercising 5-6 days a week. I can't say I am losing fat and gaining muscles because my jeans still fit the same0

Sounds like lot of protein. Proteins are insulogenic, the excess protein will be converted to glucose. Try not to cheat for few weeks and see what happens.0
