Kid playdate is monopolizing this afternoon. I had thought I might be able to squeeze a little run before our friends get here, but DH just called to say he'll be working a little late, so no way (have to wait for him to watch the kids and there just won't be enough time to run and shower). Oh well, I'm pretty sore today, so will take the rest.
**** TGIF everyone!!! ****0 -
I have a long run today after two relatively light days. Just going to do 10k again, but if I stay on track, I will have run 22 miles this week. So far this April it's been 19, 19, 20.5, and now 22 miles/week.
Enjoy the rest day, Sherry.
Sorry about the snow, Laura, but glad that the exercise is going well. I hope your eyes are continuing to heal well.
Good luck with the new program, Diana, the first day sounds really good!0 -
My rest day today. It was still snowing a bit when I woke up but the roads are just wet, so at least I didn't have a cruddy drive into work. I have a hair appointment (cut & color) after work so I'm looking forward to that - a little pampering at the end of a long 12 day stretch.
Sherry just reading about your schedule makes me exhausted. I'm impressed you're able to fit in working out so often! Shows you have true dedication to your health & fitness.
Donna you're putting in a lot of miles each week! I was just asking Jason last night about my running schedule because now that I'm officially on the training schedule for my half marathon he has me building what feels very aggressively. I've been doing 2 & 3 mile runs during the week all winter during my maintenance phase, and continued those runs even when my Saturday runs got longer (because I was doing them on the treadmill and I don't want to run more than that on the treadmill). Now he's bumping up my Monday, Wednesday & Saturday distances and it just feels like a lot all at once. I ran 14.5 miles last week and he had me doing 18 this week. My biggest week ever, just before my surgery, was 15 miles, so we're totally violating the 10% rule. He let me drop yesterday's run down to 2 miles instead of 3.5 (also since I had to do it on the treadmill because it was snowing) so that will bring me to 16.5 which is exactly 10% from last week. Next week he has me doing 20, so we might have to negotiate again. LOL. On his original schedule my Monday run went from 2 miles last week, to 3.5 miles with hill repeats (6 x 30 seconds) this week, to 4 miles with hill repeats (6 x 45 seconds) next week. Wednesday went from 3 to 3.5 to 4, and Saturday went from 9 to 11 to 13. That's a lot of extra miles! Debating whether to apply today's threadstarter quote to this situation. :-)0 -
Oh Belgh to the snow! I'm thankful that we didn't get any here and I will now stop complaining about the rain! lol.
Did RI 30 last night, muscles were pretty sore so I did a little extra on the warm up and that helped loosen them up. I'm not nearly as sore today, which is nice for the weekend. Hoping to get the house organized and get some things moved around this weekend so I can get the spare room ready for the weight set!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!0 -
Rest day again, feeling sick last few days.0
