Okay, a new month--this is the place to make your plans and goals known and use that accountability to make it all happen!
Write it down; follow through.

Okay, I've been working on a new plan for the next 3 months. It will probably need tweaking once I get into it, but I'm going to start in May and take it from there.
DH might go back to USA for another 10day trip this month, but hopefully his trip will fall during a serious of 4-day weekends for son's school (due to elections & schools being polling places). If so, I will only have half of the running around as last month's trip, but I'll also get no gym or running done during that time.
Okay, so the new plan:
2-3x/wk: morning home intervals such as high rep clean & jerks, push-ups, sit-ups, burpees, etc (I have a list of 3 workouts with 3 exercises each) and a series of isometrics such as planks, wall sits, horse stance, etc (I have a list); afternoon run and walk, except 1x/wk medium run, no walk
1x/wk: long run
2x/wk: run to gym; upper and lower split. Trying to decide between strength range (such as 5x5) or bodybuilding range (such as 4x10) and it will depend on how I do with my diet (whether I can get under my calorie goal or not--obviously I'm trying to get under, but have failed for so long, but will keep trying). Either way, will finish each exercise with a 1minute burn-out set. Unlikely to be able to run back, perhaps will walk home afterwards.
Also wanting to work on pull-ups, which should be in the home intervals, but I'm not very confident in our home pull-up bar, so I might have to save that to do at a park during my walks in the afternoons.
I'm really excited about my new plan and hope I can stick with it for May, June, July. We'll have guests this Summer, so might have to make some changes, dunno yet.0 -
Just discovered that I managed to lose 2lbs last month, so I 'm going to add the goal of trying to lose 3lbs of fat in May.0

My goal is just not to gain 10 lbs like I did on my last trip! ok sounds bad but....
I leave on April 29th for 3 weeks and few days.
Have planned already to do Nia in Portland and Sebastopol. That's oregon & CA.
Hiking in Santa Rosa, long walks on the beach in both oregon and CA.
So if I can get home the same weight or less as when I leave I will be happy!0 -
My May is going to start busy, lull for a week, and then get busier. By the first week of June I'll have traveled to St Louis, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Toronto with the dogs and have run a flyball tournament, secretaried an earthdog trial, attended two Border Terrier National Specialties (US and Canada) and attended a barn hunt.
My goal is to get through May:
1) without gaining any weight
2) Run/Walk a half marathon
3) Run an average of 20 miles a week most weeks
4) Keep working on my strength through the trainer workouts and homework0 -
Might sound strange, but I may have to totally rethink my plan now that there's a kitten in the house. I don't think I'll be able to safely throw weights around with her here (it's hard enough with lil girl, but at least she listens when I say to back-up, but the kitten does not). (It also doesn't help that she totally blends with the rug and we can't even locate her half the time.)0

My goal for May is lose 5 pounds. I am also going to be adding strength training to my workouts once I get the weight set moved in.0
