I wasn't very sure about posting here but finally decided I needed some feedback. I finished first week of induction Sunday and Weighed in Monday just to get a general idea. I had only lost 3lbs. I did however loose 7.5" on body. Someone told me probably because I wasn't new to exercise and eating better and I didn't have much water weight to loose; so its was probably fat. Truth??? I'm so confused. I do have diabetes and had to change up some things but all in I thought I did well this past week. Is this normal? Thanks ya'll. God bless~

have you gotten into ketosis yet? as long as your body is in ketosis, you will lose weight, regardless of it being fast or slow.0

So I guess I'm doing okay? I just feel like everyone looses a lot of weight the first week and I didn't. Hoping that still staying on track this week will make me do even better come weigh in next Monday!0 -
Hey you didnt say you had diabetes , so do I,,, bummer I know, but hey, everytime I get into a good long atkins run , my blood sugars return to normal, I had a 6.0 A1C last month, my doc was pretty happy about that, I had a 113 fasting this morning, so no glipizide today, a couple years ago I got really close to needing insulin, and I went on atkins induction for about 5 months and I pulled completly away from insulin and they ejected me from the insulin group at Kaiser!, now most days I dont take any diabetes meds except for metformin but that is very mild and does not cause an insulin release, some low carbers who know about metformin wish they could get some to drive down thier insulin and cause more rapid wieght loss, so if your on it and you get your blood sugars stable, you may lose weight faster with metformin, sometimes when my blood sugar is way out of whcacko from bad eating choices especially if the carb run went on for months, ,, I find it can take me sometimes 6 weeks of solid low carb eating to get my fasting back to normal, also a 3 pound weight loss for a new person with diabetes ( do you have type 2?) is actually good, especially if your taking pills to cause your pancreas to produce extra insulin to compete with high blood sugars, you will want to watch your blood sugars if your on such pills because you will start having really low levels and will have to eat your glucose to get them back up and that will bump you right out of ketosis fast!0
