Anyone have any good recipes to share for the slow cooker / crockpot that is Ideal Protein friendly?
I've trying this one tonight:
Savory Pepper Steak [original link: http://www.mommysfabulousfinds.com/2013/10/easy-crock-pot-freezer-meals-2.html]
Ingredients
1½ lbs round steak, cut into ½ in strips
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 small onion, diced
4-5 garlic cloves
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 (16 oz) can Italian style tomatoes
1 tbsp beef bouillon
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp steak seasoning
1 tbsp steak sauce
Instructions
Toss steak in salt & pepper, and add to gallon-sized freezer bag. In a med bowl mix together the rest of the ingredients, add to bag. Zip close and place in freezer. When ready to use thaw in fridge overnight. Empty contents into crock-pot and cook on low 8 hours.

That sounds lovely. I haven't used my crock pot much since I started IP - I'll throw something together for my husband and his coworkers if they're working on the weekend, but nothing that *I* can eat. Aside from pot roast with roasted mushrooms, I haven't really used it. I'm getting super into using my oven for roasting things, and I think I've pretty much mastered the whole roasted chicken at this point.0

I like to put a 3-4 lb beef roast in a crockpot with beef broth until about halfway up the roast. I put a 1/2 packet of dry Italian seasoning mix over it and put green pepper slices on top of the beef so they don't cook as fast. Then when I get home, I shred the beef and my family adds BBQ sauce and eat it on buns. I add Walden Farms BBQ sauce and either eat that plain with a veggie side, or on top of zucchini noodles, or over a salad and skip using salad dressing.0

I've also made stew with stew meat, rutabaga instead of potato and cabbage.0
