    Hi Y'all!!

I'm Vanessa and had my surgery on the 17th of April. So far, I'm making good progress and have found so many of your posts incredibly helpful as I muddle through this process.

My friends and family have been fantastic, but it's those who have had the surgery and their advise that has been so helpful!! Look forward to hearing from y'all and am happy to have some new friends who are going through this process, too!!

    Cheers!!

    Hi all,

I'm Moira and had my surgery on March 31st. Its been the best decision I have made and can't believe that after trying for over 7 years to loose weight I have lost over 30 pounds. I feel great and trying to go to the gym at least 4 times a week.

My husband has been super supportive and he decided to have the surgery as well in 6 months. I have twin girls that are 4 years old and they love learning about what is protein and about healthy foods with me. :). One of the main reasons for having the surgery was to be healthier and have more energy to be with them, so far is working.

I am going back to work soon, so I am looking forward to any suggestions you might be able on what to take for lunch as well as any words of advice.

    Regards

    Moira

It's so encouraging to read so many comments of people saying that this is the best thing they have ever done for themselves. I live in Canada and our medical system is a bit different up here. I am on the journey to having surgery in the fall. I am preparing now with journaling my food, lowering my caloric intake and have an exercise program from movement specialist - kiniseologist - I know that I spelled that word wrong. lol.
I am eager to make new friends on the site to share the journey with. If you are open to that too, please send me a friend request. I am thrilled to have now made 3 friends on the site.

    Wishing everyone a great day.
    Bye for now. :flowerforyou:
