Insanity Calorie Question

Hey, guys! Maybe this has already been asked and I just couldn't find it. But I just completed my first round of Insanity and totally loved it. I feel much stronger and everything, but I didn't see the physical results I expected (I lost 0 pounds). Granted, some of this was due to not giving it my all (I'm a super busy student and works 2 jobs, blah blah blah), but I am wondering if I wasn't eating enough? I didn't follow the meal plan exactly, because I am vegetarian and try to eat lower carbs, but I DID follow the recommended calorie intake.
According to the meal plan guide, in order to lose weight, I ate 1700 calories a day. BUT with the workouts I would burn like 600 calories a day. So my net intake would be 1100 calories, which is well below my BMR (around 1450). I'm going to do another round once finals are over and I want to lose weight, but should I up my calories this next round?
Please help, I'm getting desperate and discouraged:( I'm trying to overcome eating disordered tendencies and when all my hard work didn't seem to pay off it's really hard for me to be strong on this. Sorry for the long post, and thank you in advance!!

Hi! Did you measure yourself? Do your clothes fit better? I've read many reviews of insanity where people might not have lost weight but instead gained muscle in the same speed as the fat melted away. Also, you could take a break from exercise for a week or so and drink lots of water, chances are your body has stocked up on water because of the intense workouts. I am no expert in anything so I don't know about the calories, but it's probably worth a try, at least if you've felt like you ate too little? Anyway, if you feel stronger and better i think you should definitely note that as even better results!0

Thanks for the reply! I'm currently in finals prep week, so I am taking a 2-week break from working out, unfortunately-- no time right now though!0

i was told by multiple trainers regardless of how much working out you do only give yourself a +/- or 100 calories a day. dont enter it all in and come out to a 500 calorie deficit then eat more they say. just dont enter workouts into myfit at all and stick to caloric intake.
i take it 2450 calories regardless of how much i workout (which is usually 5-6 times a week, High intensity with heavy weights and muay thai/boxing for 1+ hours a day of non-stop training) and i am 40/40/20 40carb40protein20fat and i keep it that way. im 6'3, 235 pounds. my waist is a 34 and i have alot of muscle. My goal is down to 225/230 max0
