Let me know if you can't see the photo...

TBY Edit - for non-facebook people, the page may be invisible...

I'll try and link the actual photo

One of the National Trees that Rosie had not been up to visit before. This one is called the National Christmas Tree

Driving back I thought I would take a picture looking back up to where we were riding.

I guess this means I cannot use Instagram to post photos >:(

(TBY Edit - yes you can, but link to the photo, not the page - in instagram, right click on the picture, select view background image, then copy that URL into the img tags on here... Well - that's how i fixed these for you...)

I think there is a saying about 80% of success is showing up. This weekend I rode a Gran Fondo that was part of some big series that culminates with a race in Slovenia (I have never done a bike race in my life I don't know much about it). Anyway all the racer dudes were there, but apparently all the old women were scared off. So my friends and I all swept the 50 plus age groups....I got second place out of two in the 50-54 group.

Maybe because I wore my lucky "Ciao Bella" socks?

One reason I cycle so much is because I'm surrounded by wide open quiet roads to cycle, love it:

Team 1 I would wager has more power then this Wind Turbine, if only we could harness it I recon we could power a town :) .... everyone's doing bloomin brilliant btw, I'm just very proud of Team FDS.

My GF goes away on holiday for a week so took her out for an Italian last night, well might as well stay on theme ....

Slightly "post ride" shot from me today - was a bit wet to get the phone out mid-ride...

    Tappa 12 - the aftermath...

Soon hosed down though (as was I...)

Sorry I didn't get my bike in the picture. This is going to the sun road in Glacier National Park. This is where I was today.  This is why I ride.

Just for the record, in the larger photo you can see the road going up the left side heading for the saddle. That's Logan Pass.

Ok...this is totally unfair...you mean you ride REGULARLY one of my dream rides of a life time???? I might see some goat tomorrow on a good day, or we have a really interesting cell phone tower disguised as a tree.... but just can't compete with that scenery!!!

Kerry, yep. I try to get out there once a week once it's open to bikes. It won't open to cars until mid june so Hikers and cyclists get the whole rode to themselves without worrying about cars.

Another "post ride" shot from me, I'm afraid - rain was so hard out there I didn't dare get the cameraphone out of its 3 ziplock bags...

You know it's going to be a wet one, when the last thing you do before leaving for the ride, is leave a big towel and bathrobe beside the washing machine, because you KNOW as you come back into the house you're going to have to do this...

Full Castelli ensemble - all soaked - BUT - I was warm enough to actually still enjoy the ride! Money well spent I reckon.

Bad day, on the odd occasion things don't go to plan, your bike gives up the ghost and you have to wave a white flag .... I just wanted to capture that post ride feeling! lol

Wow! Do you carry a chain tool or did you just have to push the bike back home? I'm a wimp. I would have called for a ride.

This is where I was on Thursday. Tally Lake Montana. Had to ride 9 miles of dirt/gravel road to get there but it was worth it. That's my Focus Evo that I rode up there. Next time I'm taking the Kona Tanuki or Kona Wo (fat tire 4" wide tires). The roads were pretty soft from all the snow melt.

I have a chain tool, but the combination of not being able to feel my fingers, the torrential rain and having just broken down 5 mins walk from Nottingham train station I thought sod it and I just unscrewed the clips from my shoes and caught the train and was home in half an hour to fix assess the bike I'm a nice warm cosy house, I must have looked an absolute sight on that train but I honestly didn't give a monkeys lol.

.... beautiful pic btw, thanks for sharing
