Good Morning, Warrior Women!
I'm up early getting ready to go to my team meeting in the city. I hope to get a lot of steps in, while I'm there. My goal for the day is 120 minutes/567 calories. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Today is my off day and I am going to be downtown until late, and mostly trapped indoors (working lunch), so my goal is just to get in an extra walk this evening (length depends on time), and to get my 10,000 steps.0

Hey, Everybody!
Well, my colleague offered me a ride home and I could tell that he actually wanted to have some time to talk about something, so I accepted. Unfortunately, that cut my intended steps in half. So, after an unusually long day in an office (I do most of my work at home), I came home and had a dance party! Then, I washed my dog and my bathroom. Then, I made a beautiful dinner, which I didn't log. I was tired & feeling punished, when I started, but it ended up being a good balance to my day.
My Fitbit's been disappointing. The only thing it accurately logs is my steps. Calorie burns & distance are way off. It's only been 2 active days, so I'm hoping I just don't know how to adjust the settings correctly. Anyway, both days I ended up going with what Map My Walk & MFP said about my burns, since the Fitbit was so off. It is fun seeing if I can get to 10,000 steps/day and cheering my MFP friends on there. Rachael is at the top of my friend's list and averages something like 27,000 steps/day!
Stephanie, I totally relate to your being "trapped indoors". I don't usually have to work in one place for very long, but today my team and I met to rename our program and I had meetings before and after that, so I was "trapped indoors" for 5 hours! I did get a couple of 10 minute breaks and used them to walk around outside!
Susan, I'm so glad you got better weather, more gardening and yoga today!

Happy Wednesday Warrior Women! Today turned into a rest day for me but I still logged 78 active minutes on my Fitbit from my walking. I got to 25k steps and am totally satisfied with that! I am pretty excited because I joined a gym today. This should give me new and exciting ways to spend my workout time. I will be stepping out of my comfort zone a great deal going to a busy gym but I do think it is a good step for me to take.0

That's great, Peacockbutter! Report how it goes and what you like. What are you most interested in doing? (I need a new gym--I used to have one I loved, and it made working out a lot easier in some ways.)0

Hi lemurcat12! Sorry I just saw your post. I am most interested in starting weight training and taking a kickboxing class they offer. I also want to try a couple of yoga classes. Hey have different styles of yoga offered there. I fell in love with the elliptical machine I used today. It was able to be a stepper also and I really enjoyed that feature.0

Thanks for the welcome. It took me a while to figure out this is the group you mentioned in your timeline.
I understand your frustration with Fitbit. I figure all the step counters are off to some degree. The thing is to keep using the same method so you are consistently off about the same amount. I recently lost my Fitbit so I've been using my iPhone with the Moves app. It definitely counts less steps for the same amount of movement than the Fitbit gadget but it's free.
People who get well over 10K steps per day tend to have an extraordinarily active lifestyle, play a running sport or are training for some kind of event. One of my friends would purposely park miles away from where he was going to add more steps. I would have to get an entirely different job and life to get that over 15K steps on a regular basis.0
