good day
I was loosing weight fairly easily then had some issues with my meds
I was down over 45 lbs from my high and started having some issues with low sugars.
I had to eat to keep my sugars up. Now I am starting to get this under control I am having more issues loosing more weight
I am down almost 50 lbs and still have 2-6 months to my surgery.
I hope to loose another 20 to 30 prior to surgery.
How do others handle the changing demands for less medication when loosing weight?

After my first three weeks of the pre-surgery diet of 1500 calories, my cholesterol dropped ot the point where my Primary Care Doc took me down to one pill per week (from one per day). She also told me to check my blood pressure and stop the BP meds if I get lightheaded or have regularly low BP.0

During my three-week presurgery program, I was getting nauseous. My surgeon told me to cut back on my diabetes meds, after checking blood sugar. Immediately following RNY surgery, I became nauseous again. This lasted for two weeks until my doctor told me to cut down again on the diabetes and BP meds. One month after surgery I was off all meds. Nearly two years later, I'm still not taking any diabetes or BP meds. I did develop some issues with my thyroid. It just took longer to adjust to the weight-loss.
Just keep checking your blood sugar and BP. Your body is going through some drastic changes and it needs to be closely monitored. Good luck!!0
