First ever crossfit session COMPLETED!!

Hi. So just finished my first ever crossfit session and I've got to say I LOVED IT! It was just a free hour taster session but I am hooked! Starting pb of 20kg which might not seem much to some of you but I wasnt even aware I could lift that much so am chuffed to bits! I'll admit I did a lot of internet research beforehand and the amount of negative articles I found worried me a little but then I realised that technically EVERY form of exercise can be dangerous if not done properly. In my new found box my trainers were clear, informative and gave help as much as we needed it, there was no rush. While they encouraged AMRAP they also stressed that we were OK just doing our best! But that feeling of having people stand next to you and cheer you on is amazing! I've tried zumba and got bored very quickly of the same dance routines; I tried DVDs at home but lacked the motivation; I enjoy running but have had to cut that right down to once a week due to childcare and although a gym membership might be cheaper I know for a fact that I would end up sticking to the treadmill for about 20 mins and that would be that every time I went. But I love that with crossfit every session is going to be different and that everyone is so supportive because while everyone is at different fitness levels, everyone is striving to do better, its not necessarily about how much weight/inches you've lost its about pushing yourself to that next notch. I know you'll prob be reading this thinking "well yeah we already know that" but I jut wanted to say... "I totally get it!!!" I havnt been "lucky" enough to get the friends and family telling me about how bad crossfit is(and I am expecting it) but I am going to be prepared!!! The amazing body I am hoping to get from the hard work and dedication is going to be my comeback! Please feel free to add me: I'm a 26yo mammy to 2. My diary is not always the prettiest but im working on it :)

    welcome

I'm on my third week now, its like nothing I would have ever thought I could or would be doing. Take advantage of stretching times before and after class and get ready for a complete *kitten* kicking.

    Have fun!
