Just for the record, in the larger photo you can see the road going up the left side heading for the saddle. That's Logan Pass.0

Sorry I didn't get my bike in the picture. This is going to the sun road in Glacier National Park. This is where I was today.  This is why I ride.
Ok...this is totally unfair...you mean you ride REGULARLY one of my dream rides of a life time???? I might see some goat tomorrow on a good day, or we have a really interesting cell phone tower disguised as a tree.... but just can't compete with that scenery!!!0 -
Kerry, yep. I try to get out there once a week once it's open to bikes. It won't open to cars until mid june so Hikers and cyclists get the whole rode to themselves without worrying about cars. :happy:0

Another "post ride" shot from me, I'm afraid - rain was so hard out there I didn't dare get the cameraphone out of its 3 ziplock bags...
You know it's going to be a wet one, when the last thing you do before leaving for the ride, is leave a big towel and bathrobe beside the washing machine, because you KNOW as you come back into the house you're going to have to do this...
Wet as an Otters Pocket by The Big Yin, on Flickr
Full Castelli ensemble - all soaked - BUT - I was warm enough to actually still enjoy the ride! Money well spent I reckon.0 -
Bad day, on the odd occasion things don't go to plan, your bike gives up the ghost and you have to wave a white flag .... I just wanted to capture that post ride feeling! lol

Nightmare mate - Get that fixed soonest; we need the KM's!0 -
Wow! Do you carry a chain tool or did you just have to push the bike back home? I'm a wimp. I would have called for a ride.0

This is where I was on Thursday. Tally Lake Montana. Had to ride 9 miles of dirt/gravel road to get there but it was worth it. That's my Focus Evo that I rode up there. Next time I'm taking the Kona Tanuki or Kona Wo (fat tire 4" wide tires). The roads were pretty soft from all the snow melt.0 -

I have a chain tool, but the combination of not being able to feel my fingers, the torrential rain and having just broken down 5 mins walk from Nottingham train station I thought sod it and I just unscrewed the clips from my shoes and caught the train and was home in half an hour to fix assess the bike I'm a nice warm cosy house, I must have looked an absolute sight on that train but I honestly didn't give a monkeys lol.
.... beautiful pic btw, thanks for sharing0 -
Rode up to Fort Boreman which over looks the Ohio River

Ride from Tuesday. Looking North across the Flathead Valley.0 -
Wednesday's ride. Just North of Big Fork. This is why I don't need navigation on my bike computer. Where are you going to go except to follow the road? :laugh:0 -

Picture of me at the finish of our club 10m TT last night. PB of 24.44 and the fastest on the night riding a standard road bike

This was the start to my ride today. Lake McDonald, Glacier National Park.

This was on the route. Camas Creek Basin. There was a HUGE forest fire here in 2003. You can see that it's coming back really well.

Ipad on continuous shoot mode, frame it while looking at the screen and hold the shutter down, then concentrate on the bottle of beer. Then review the shots and find one where my eyes were pointing in the right direction. Not difficult, but strangely I did need to have a few attempts at it.0 -
I did need to have a few attempts at it.
Good job it was a big bottle!0 -
any bigger and my eyes would have been pointing in the wrong direction for an entirely different reason...
it's thirsty work making Pizza's :laugh:0 -
And thats it folks - we are now closed off for the 2014 Giro Challenge. Now I get to trawl through god only knows how many Strava files to verify everything. I'll pass a link to this thread to an independent judge* and hopefully get a result for this thread sometime this week.
* I also help moderate a Photography Forum, and I've asked one of the other Mod's who actually shoots sports photography to cast an eye over the images, and give their opinion...0
