Hi,

I am not new to the group but I mostly read what's going on with others and I think it's a great place for advice and help. I am looking for some myself. I have been trying although not with too much success but there is no on to blame but myself. I want to be successful but am finding myself bogged down with so much conflicting advice. I have begun to exercise again and log my foods. I was successful about two years ago losing weight on my own. I went from 188 to the 153 then back to the 168 that i'm sitting at now. I've been up and down since I went from 153 to 168 by not so smart choices and being sidelined with a left hip flexor tear. I'm still rehabbing the injury so I modify a lot of what I do for the lower body.

Provide your stats (height 5'3" / weight 168 /age 38 /bodyfat 30% if you know it/etc)

What's your current gross intake of calories, on average? I am aiming for 1500 (haven't been logging consistently enough lately to get a good average)

What's your current average intake of protein118, carbs157g, and fats52g, in grams? (GRAMS, not percent!)

Do you use a food scale and measure everything? I am now yes.

Do you track all of your intake, daily? (Everything?) When tracking if I eat it i enter it. Even if it's bad.

Do you take cheat days or days off? I have in the past but feeling that I should cut them out now as I want to be successful

How much weight have you lost so far and over what time period? ( 20 lbs 2 years ago)

Describe your activity (exercise and non exercise) and did you change that activity withing the last couple of months? I sit at a desk most days, I aim to get 12,000 steps a day plus I have started a dvd lifting program at home. I started 90x3 i do this in the morning at home and then on upper body days i have gone to they gym and done a 25 min run on lower body days I don't push that. I also walk our dog for about 20 mins 5 nights a week.

How long have you been stalled and if it is not a complete stall please be very specific as to how much you have lost over the stalled period. n/a

Are you breastfeeding? no

Do you have thyroid issues/risks or PCOS? no

Moving this up, hopefully we will get to this in the next couple of days. Our time to contribute has been limited as of late unfortunately.

just on a side note I had to stop my dvd lifting as it aggravated my injury. I received the new rules of lifting for life from a friend and even though I'm not middle age i'm trying to recover from an injury so I plan to start that Monday or sooner if i get through the info I need.

Regarding your intake levels and your original post -- please track accurately (use your food scale) and consistently until you have a solid two weeks of accurate, consistent data. Then, bump this post and we will take a look at that data along with your results and form some conclusions/ a starting point.
