So, since the news feed is borked right now I thought I'd start a thread for runners to post their workouts / thoughts, etc.
I'll go first -- here is the link to my recap of the cancelled Minneapolis Marathon that I ran anyways:

UPDATE: ...the feed appears to be back!

Oh thank you!! I was feeling so lost without the news feed!! I haven't headed out for my run yet and am still at work. But I am hoping to do three miles tonight! This will be day four of trying running small distances every day! Just when I thought I was done with running so much after my personal half marathon about killed me, here I am running more often0

That is awesome. More, shorter runs is definitely going to be easier on your body than fewer, longer runs.0 -
I'm still at work - but was just checking in on the Manitoba Marathon facebook page, when I spotted a post part of their Monday Motivation series that is PERFECT for how I'm feeling as I am in the throws of my taper for my first ever full:
The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.
All this time spent not running has me questioning whether all my miles logged, and hours spent training will be enough when my toes are at the starting line on June 15th, so, I needed that motivation this week.0 -

That quote is great! And so true! You got this Linli! Trust your training!0 -

The difference has been amazing! I can do a short run and foam roll and stretch and be ready to run again the next day!! I have struggled with lots of injuries in my past and being able to run at all is amazing but being able to run every day?? Priceless!0 -
Will be going out for a run later this afternoon, will be doing at least 4 miles, but thinking I should ramp up to 5 or 6 today, before I begrudgingly hit the weights. I haaaate lifting days. (I'd skip, but strength training and lifting seems to have improved my running, so I *guess* I'll do it even though I hate it. Ugh.)
At least it's overcast and cool today, perfect weather for hitting the trail! (And since it's not sunny out, that means less people)0 -
I ran some miles and rode my bike. I miss everyone. They need to fix this stat!! Otherwise I will be forced into doing something productive with my day.0

I love a daily short run! It helps keep me consistent.0 -

LOL, I know! I'm about to do laundry, out of boredom (not even because I ran out of clean running clothes, either).0 -

This is awesome. And here you thought you'd just wean yourself off of running!0 -

Right! I was all "oh it would be nice to run one day a week and then dance or bike or hike or something on the other days....." One week of trying that and now I am all "oh it would be so nice to run a mile a day and then slowly build until I am running five miles every day.....". When will I learn that running is a part of me now?0
