Carbs in Cafe Americano?

Hi all -- I've been drinking Iced Cafe Americano, unsweetened, because the weather has been warm.
However, I'm seeing on MFP / the Sbux website that there are 3g of carbs per Grande. I've been watching the barista, and they're just pouring 2 shots of espresso over ice. A shot of espresso has 0.5g or less, according to the USDA. A brewed iced coffee has 0g according to Starbucks. I wouldn't have thought a brewed coffee and espresso mixed with water would be meaningfully different.
What am I missing?

Maybe the cream? If no cream, no carbs though...0

An Americano is espresso and water. Starbucks often sweetens their drinks with simple syrup which is probably what you're seeing. There are no carbs in straight coffee.0

So would you just not log it? There is no simple syrup in what they're preparing for me. I add my own (measured) cream, but I log that separately.0
