NROLFW calorie recommendations?

Hi all. I just started NROLFW this past weekend. Today was my second workout. My question is about the calorie recommendations from the book. They seem high to me. My current tdee minus 20% is 1419. I run 2-2.5 miles 4 times a week. The book would suggest almost 1800 calories on workout days. Who follows the book's guidelines? Why or why not? Thanks in advance everyone.

I did not follow the calculations in the book because for some reason, the number ended up below my BMR! I used TDEE -%15 percent. I lost a lot of body fat but only a few pounds of scale weight.

I don't like the books recommendations- it has me eating much less than the TDEE method. If your current method is working, I wouldn't worry about what the book says.
