Hi there--newbie to the group here; hope it's okay that I am posting this as new thread :)

I am new to strength training, and I am using "Body By You" as my program...it is a scaleable body-weight based program, and I would love to talk with others who are using this program, or similar.

I have lots of questions about wrist strength (push, pull), deficit cals (lose fat, gain/maintain muscle), and nutrition in general as it relates to bodyweight training.

I have started this program once before, and tho it is "only" body weight exer, is HARD (for me, anyway), especially as I progress through variations. I am sore almost every day while training...good DOMS kinda sore...will that ever end?

Yes, DOMS reduces as your body gets used to the type of training. Consistency with training is key.

Re DOMs - what he said

There are quite a few people I know who follow BBY/YOYOG and they are very happy with the results.

And it's absolutely fine to be posting as it's own thread. What other specific questions do you have?

What cycle of the program are you using? I would imagine you would get sorer near the beginning, when you're progressing the fastest. As you move on to later workouts in cycles 2 and 3 you're only progressing weekly or every other week, so your body has more time to get used to specific exercises before you switch it up again.

P.S. I am also doing BBY, but only started a couple weeks ago. I'm still working my way through Cycle 1. Totally tagging this thread for future reference because I'm also enjoying the program a lot and would love to connect with others who are doing it too. Too bad there doesn't seem to be an active group for it currently.
