I see that a lot of us do not either have a lot of support in our lives, or are just looking for more people who understand what we are facing and trying to do!

With that said, Where is everyone from?

I am in Wesley Chapel, FL just north of Tampa!

    Hi Meyou,
    I am interpreting your post on lacking support to mean 'within an individual's 'personal life.' Where that is not something I've noticed as an issue within our membership, it is certainly true within my life. That is, in part, why I started this group. Not only was weight loss surgery a new option for so many back in 2011, but what was missing was the information and support from those who were already making the journey through WLS. Not so evident was the fact that many members were missing familial and friend support.
    Hopefully this group was able to fill in that gap. We are 1900 members within various parts of the WLS odyssey, Many of us post regularly, others check in to share parts of their lives. My thoughts are that we would not approaching 2000 if it were not due to 'support' our group provides.
    As the Three Musketeers said "all for one and one for all' ~ that motto can easily be applied withing this group. Hopefully you have received some inspiration, motivation and support from our group and will continue to support all of us.

    I live in Albuquerque, NM - Yes, that is in the United States. I am surprised to see the majority of the people who stated where they're from are from the northeast part of the country. That's great!
