I appreciate any and all feedback as I've just started c25k. I'm so far enjoying it, and it seems I'll reach my goal. However, being new to running I just wanted to get everyone's recommendations. What few I have are below (mostly what I already had on hand)
Socks (ordered some Balegas) but currently just using my adidas compression low cut
Shoes - nike air max in tiffany blue
Headphones - phillips over ear clips (not loud enough though)
Phone CArrier/case (just a generic arm strap for my Nokia Lumia)
Music - all kinds, anything fast
Sweat band - just ordered a "sweaty band" currently not using one
shorts - negative these legs don't belong in shorts. However, I just ordered a pair from Lane Bryant that have built in compression shorts underneath for added support and no crawling! excited to see how these do on chubby thighs
capris - Lane Bryant yoga capris
pants - Lane Bryant yoga pants
arm warmers - none yet
jacket - too hot here, but just got a Lane Bryant sports jacket with thumb holes on clearance for winter
hydration product - water of course (idk why I asked this one)
hydration container/belt - don't have one yet (I have a really big butt and have enough bouncing around, and am not real sure about this)
pre run snack - protein shake or graham crackers
post run snack - almonds and dried mangos
stretches - only know of a few off runnersworld for now0 -
I honestly hardly run with headphones, and if I do it is only with my Yurbuds. I have the ones that allow you to still listen to the rest of the world. I have seen a lot of running injuries caused because people are oblivious to the world because of them. I have also seen a lot of volunteers at races get injured because of runners not paying attention.0
