What to do with hand-me-down clothes in CT?

I would love to donate the clothes I grow out of to others who are going through the weight loss process. I usually donate to a local place, but my thought is that we in the WLS world really need some help with clothing as we quickly lose weight, sometimes being in one size for only a month or so. My sister went through WLS before me, and it was a real struggle for her to keep herself in reasonably well-fitting clothes without breaking the bank.

I have loads and loads of womens 18 and plus suits, work clothes, outerwear and casual clothes that I would like to get rid of. I will have more and more to give as I go along. I am in CT. Any suggestions?

Alternately, I guess I can sell them on consignment or ebay, but I'd rather help someone out.

    I personally and going to try and sell them for reasonable prices on eBay so I can then use the $$ to buy clothes that fit. I've bought things on eBay, and at consignment stores. Until I get down to my goal and stay there for a while I don't want to buy too many new things.

    For this summer I have been looking for some nice used sun dresses that fit now and will appear to fit for a while thanks to belts to cinch in the waist when I need to and lightweight cardigans and the like to dress them up and cover the extra fabric :)

    I have a casual dress job and don't work during the summer, so it is easier for me to deal deal with. I am thankful that I don't have to dress up for work, although, this might change starting in the fall.

    The support group I attend does a clothes trade every few months. Maybe you know of a group you can do that with?

    alternatively, there are great charities (Dress for Success, Sarah's House) that provide career clothing to women in need. They are usually in great need of plus size clothing.
