    Happy Wednesday everyone!

My weight has stayed stable again........ which is fine given the mixed week I have had .......a bit too much wine, ice cream and Werthers Originals...I will do better next week.... cooler weather has got me back into running which along with a swim, exercises a couple of times a week and some tai chi stretches are keeping me active........

Feeling very positive this morning as I prepare a boiled egg and taost with marmite........ good start to the day!

Hope you have al done well :flowerforyou:

    Morning Jean and all

Jean - your "taost" must be going with your Tai chi:bigsmile:
Well done on maintaining. Weather is a bit more stable here for a bit isn't it - I've had a few runs this week already!!

I can report a 2 lb loss - yippee!! Knew I was still losing a bit as my extra small trousers are fitting a bit better - not quite ready for work though as I may split the seams if I am sitting down all day in them. But the zip does up easier, so maybe in another few weeks.

Have to dash now as going to eye hospital for check up.

    Have a good day all.

    Good morning!

The 2lb drop I had didn't last! Back to my plateau weight with still4lbs to go until I am within 'normal' BMI but I feel good and more so knowing that it's not far off. Buying new scales both kitchen and bathroom has been a sound investment for me, who never used to weigh myself! Now I pop on each morning but don't get too stressed about the outcome.

Just back from a 50minute walk with OH and the dog - the first time I've done that for a while. Need to make it more of a habit.

    Happy days all!
  • Lost 1/2 pound at my weigh in. Not great but I will take it.

scary night last night with the storm. A tornado touched down not far from my son's home. They are fine and no damage but trees and power lines are down a block away. Still waiting to hear from our daughter but if our son is ok she should be as well. So very sorry to hear about the US ones.

Joyce - tornadoes are so terrifying. Glad your son is ok; hope you hear from your daughter soon. And WTG on continuing to have the scale show lower numbers!

Sandie - Love your determination and mind-set at not getting frustrated. With your habits, You *will* prevail!

Jen - CONGRATS! Don't you love when your clothes start to fit better?

Jean - you are amazing with your running and sticking close to plan with as active a life as you lead. So impressive!

Not quite sure how (shrug), but my scale is reading 4 pounds lighter than my last weigh in. I'm logging it in, but know that this rate of loss won't (and shouldn't) continue. Off now to follow my husband to town so he can take his bigger truck to the trim shop to put some final touches on it...

GREAT group - with GREAT progress - scale related or not!

    Happy Wednesday!

Jean I like the variety of your exercise - are you liking Tai Chi? I had to look-up marmite to see what that was lol.
Jen - congrats - extra small - wow - don't think I'll ever see that size, well I see it but will never attempt to try.
Joyce I hope everyone is ok and not too much damage, will take blizzards over tornadoes any day.
Sandie - you have such a great mind set - oh and NB stands for New Brunswick lol
Ker - wow - really great and you worked for it - did not happen with just your magic wand.

Down another lb this week, thought it would be a bit more even though I had a sloth to the max day:devil, then I realized I was moving, yes, but I was not MOVING - time to get faster tunes on my Nano and do the Leslie S - 2 mile in 30 video (my rain walking).

Have a wonderful week everyone,

Happy Positive Wednesday to You All!

Jean: it is great news your weight stayed stable even with your reported "food extravagances". You are a great motivator for us as proof that in the future we also will be able to maintain our loss! We need to know this and learn also that it does again require planning and effort but can be done! Thank you!

Jen: 2 pounds is great as you get so much closer to your goal, well done! I also agree, "extra small" is not in my dictionary!

Sandie: yep, you are definitely on the edge of losing that 2 pounds! That has happened to me also, I get a "first sighting" on the scale, then it disappears, but when you keep on your plan, as you do, it comes off and will stay off, well done indeed!:flowerforyou:

Joyce: so happy to hear of your 1/2 pound loss but even more with your good attitude towards it! Glad to hear DS is ok and hope DD also. We had really bad storms last night but thankfully nothing else.

Ker: Thank you once again for getting this organized for us all, we are lucky to have you and californiagirl do this for us. Yes, your 4 pound weight is a little much for a week but just like unexplained sudden weight gain as long as you continue with your healthy eating plan, all will be good! But you have to be honest, wow, what a pleasant surprise, yes:wink:

Holly: 1 pound loss is wonderful to hear about, being a Sloth is ok, I've been one for years and believe I will always be one, but just a fitter and slimmer one down the road

I am happy to report that I lost 1 pound this week and am feeling quite pleased with that! I didn't have the best week personally this week as I had a lot of running around for various family members! Everyone else was working so it fell to me. I wasn't able to devote as much time to MFP as I would have liked to and some days just logged my diary, but hey I did it! It was a great help to me to read your various posts and also motivated me while I was out, not to fall into old bad habit and just grab a tea and lots of cakes, candies, etc - you know what I mean! So thank you everyone!

As I have reached my first plateau, 20 pound loss, it is time for a small reward but true to sloth charactertistics, I have not yet decided what, but I think it may be clothes related as I gave away ALL my next size down clothes last summer as I was in such a snit about my weight! I still have some of my small size clothes, but that is a long way away, but I will get there with all your help!

Lovely to be a Chatty Cathy and good luck to everyone this upcoming week. Oh bother, I spent so much time typing this my tea is cold! Cheers, Marian

It is nice to read all of the inspiring words here. You all are such good losers!

I will try to eat better this week and really would like to lose at least a pound. We are going out of town Sat through Mon so it will take some discipline to stay on board and do well. It can be done~

Here's to us all on the road to being "skinny". I will never be skinny, never have been, never will be. I just want to be around 150, still over, but will suit me just fine.

Wonderful to read all the successes of the group. Just logging on and stepping up is a first step to success. I had a fairly good week and except for my issues of being married to the thin cookie monster, I ate in a healthy way. I lost one pound and I am so pleased as the dial has been stuck for a while. I also worked harder in the exercise dept. Tomorrow I begin a seated yoga class. I am hoping it will help with my dodgy back.

    Great week ahead to all..

Hello all - My week was pretty much the same, no gain, no loss. I am REALLY stuck. I worked hard in the yard 3 days this week, golfed one day, and walked two days. I wonder if I need to do something desperate, like living on yogurt for 2 or 3 days to get this going. I do love to eat, but have cut back a lot, especially on my "snacks".

    Any input would be lovely.

Checking in for June 11th -17th:

Major wins for the past week:
-- Made it out of the house by 6am for 6 out of 7 days to beat the heat
-- Biked for a total of 54.6 miles (3 days)
-- Up on 12-foot ladder trimming grapefruit/orange tree (3 days)
-- Under carb/fat goal except for 1 day A huge NSV for me! clap.gif

    Challenges for the coming week:
-- Continue to watch fat consumed as this is a real issue for me. :grumble:
-- Lose this pound that has been coming and going for the last 2 week.
-- Not let the heat mentally beat me down smiley-cool14.gif

What great efforts everyone has put forth this week! As most of you posted, making a life style change is not an easy thing. Great job everyone and have a successful week. :flowerforyou:

Hello all. It is wonderful to hear everyone's news. Just checking in on Wednesday shows that we have stayed the course for another week.

After last weeks large loss I resolved to eat a little more and stay closer to my calorie limit. Except for one middle-of-the-night mini binge I managed to do that. I had a .6 lb gain this week but am not worried about it. I have felt better with that bit more eating and have been able to be a more active.

    Have a fantastic week people!

Yikes! I missed the check in yesterday!

I did weigh myself before work, and have (re)lost one more pound this week. Can't wait to get down the the pounds I have not lost and then re-gained -- 4 to go! Two years ago I had lost 34 pounds, then put 9 back on. It feels good to be getting back down there. I actually don't mind getting dressed!

It is really the combination of food (portion) control and more intense, sweaty exercise that does it. Why do we have to learn that over and over? I love the feeling of getting strong, earning my showers, and wearing whatever I want. Thanks for this group being there to help be get back into it
