Working out when sick

How do you guys deal with sickness during your weightloss journey?

I want to make sure, that I dont get off track with my program (Insanity), but I woke up this morning feeling like complete crap.

Do I force myself to still do the workout, or do I just continue to watch my caloreis and resume after a couple days of rest?

I've had a pretty unbearable kidney infection for the last week and could barely move ( finally went to the doc day before last and got some antibiotics) but I have not worked out for about 6 days now and although I haven't eaten a whole lot I did drink 2 32oz bottles of cranberry juice (loads of sugar) and not to my surprise I gained about 2lbs but I'm not gonna sweat it. I feel a little better today (2nd day on antibiotics ) but I'm still not gonna go run or lift heavy for another couple of days, maybe just a walk and some low weight reps. I think you need to take care of your body which includes giving it the rest it is telling you it needs. Rest up and drink loads of water

Continue calories if able. Take rest today and try tomorrow if your not worse feeling.

    Thanks guys!

I will see how I feel tonight (maybe I can squeeze my workout in then).

I will keep my calories in line while not working out. Will a few days off of the macros make a big difference?

Yeah, I'd see how you feel and maybe just do walking or yoga instead of insanity. If you do insanity, might be a good idea to do the one you find the easiest instead of the one on the schedule. Take care of yourself!

I hope you feel better! :flowerforyou:

I would try to follow calories, but maybe give exercise a rest.
