Feeling Silly for bieng new

Just joined the group today and I am not sure I am doing this right. So I hope my post shows up. I am 50 used to be 294lbs I am down to 247. This was due to lapband surgery, but I have been between 243-248 for over a year now. I lost the first 50 within the first 4 months of the surgery and nothing since. I recently started exercising and today I began using My Fitness Pal to track my eating and exercise. Hope to meet some nice people and get useful advice.
