Weight lost since joining MFP.

Just wanted to let every one know that since I have started using MFP. I have lost 26lbs in 25 days. I know that seems quick but I still have plenty to lose. Prior to using MFP I had in the kept track in the past the old fashioned way with pen and paper. Now there is nothing wrong with doing it that way, and I actually didn't mind keeping track that way. However using MFP has so much more information that my journaling is that much more accurate, so that mean so much more better for me in the long run.

P.S. I am 3 years post sleeve.

Thanks for listening, just wanted to share. :flowerforyou:

I love MFP. Feel free to add me. I am still in the 6-month monitored diet, so I haven't had the surgery yet, but I fully intend to continue using MFP afterwards.

Amen! I love, love, love MFP! The ease of logging food, the support community, the wealth of information on so many topics available at our fingertips. So glad my NUT recommended it!

Three years out is hard, I give you a high five. I am 4 years out. At first I was very faithful about journalizing my food and exercise. I couldn't understand those that weren't logging any more and wondered why they were gaining everything back. I was told most people gain thier weight back between the second and fifith year. I've been so scared, I don't want to go back to 314 lbs.

So keep up the good work. Journalize if that keeps you on track, but don't forget the exercise. I know that is what keeps me in line. I love my spinning!!!

Thanks for the high five, but I honestly can't take credit for it. I was one of those one's that regained even after saying to myself that I hoped that wouldn't end up being me. Well hope is great, but I also needed to put in the extra work required to keep up the success that I had.
I put on 50lbs since surgery, and the dietician was very concerned and my family doc gave me the what for. So here I am logging, and not pulling any punches, because I don't want to be yet another statics like I have been all my life in one way or another. So I am close to having lost 30lbs of the 50 and plan on continuing to lose more weight by logging and exercising.
For me the celebrating can begin once a have lost 51lbs and moving forward from there. Don't get me wrong I am glad I pulled up my big girl panties and started losing again, but not time yet for celebrating.

Good Luck on your continued success.

Yup. One of the pre-surgery requirements of my program was to log everything between the initial info session and the next appointment. They said it didn't matter how we logged, but gave us a sheet with a few websites in it. I don't remember if the nurse recommended MFP or not, but once I logged in, started logging and then found the WLS groups, I can honestly say that MFP and you all have been major reasons I have been successful so far.

I am an MFP and FitBiot addict. Twice this week I left my iPhone in the car and was a wreck all day. Tracking food has become such a normal part of my routine that I cannot imagine going backwards. Now that I have switched to "Maintain weight" I see the tool as even more critical. My calories have increased, as has exercise, and having accurate numbers for both is necessary.

I weigh and track everything including snacks, treats, adult beverages and suppliments. Really don;t think I could have had so much success without these tools.

I didn't know about MFP for the first year after my sleeve. So I've only been on here for almost 2 years now. My 3 year surgiversary is July 21 and although I'm not to goal yet, I know I would be a lot less successful than I have been without MFP. This site is awesome and really helps me stay on track. Interacting with my friends here really motivates me too! I love this site!

I have 66 pounds left to goal and although I am losing really slowly now, I am determined to get there, even if it takes another year or so!
