I just foung MFP on Tuesday -- I was a member of WW On Line and got fed up with the monthly fees for me to do all my own tracking. So when I left WW I was floundering. And gaining weight. Which is not good -- I have had total knee replacements in both my knees and so keeping my weight down is necessary for my knees to feel good, function properly and last. The more weight they have to take the shorter time the implants will last. Anyway -- I am welll over 50 -- into my 60's actually and need to lose 90 -100 lbs. I have been sedentary and need to change.
When I found MFP I got excited again about tracking my food intake and my exercise -- even order a mild workout video -- walking, marching and stepping in place. I HATE going to a gym and hopefully I will have the self disciplin to use this video 20 minutes 3 - 4 times a week. I certainly can find that much time.
Personally, I have 3 Golden Retrievers that I train for obedience, rally and conformation. My boy has his Championship and is working on his Grand Championship and the 2 girls are working on rally titles.
Need support from other women fighting the age and weight battle.

    Hi Marcy -
I just found MFP last week and I'm really happy I did. The food and exercise diary help me stay focused and motivated. Finding some MFP friends inspires me and makes me feel accountable.

I'm riding an exercise bike 30 minutes a day now - I have to turn my oxygen up to do it but I'm doing it! I had convinced myself I couldn't do it when I tried before. I've ordered an 'exercise while sitting' DVD.

Good luck to you. Please feel free to friend me if yo would like to.

    Kay
