My RNY went well, no complications to speak of. I got in lots of walks around the halls, twice as many as they asked for the first day and 18 laps the last day. Water time was my favorite thing, I would get so happy when it was time for that little sip! lol I guess my water intake was pretty impressive to the nursing staff. 3 bottles on my last day. The 'bad' that happened was I could NOT pass gas which was very unpleasant! Also my drain was draining a lot more than usual and almost kept me there an extra night.
But it finally slowed down and my doctor removed it and sent me home.
I had amazing nurses! The hospital was really nice I was so happy to have it done there. I go back for my post op appointment on the 23rd. So all is well here, I was 20 lbs heavier when I came home with water weight, very similar to what happened after my c-sections, its about half gone now, the last 2 days my feet have been swollen.
Thanks again for all your prayers and positive thoughts!!!
For those of you headed into your surgery dates my best advice is to have a positive can do attitude no matter how you're feeling!
I am so happy to be Post-Op!
