I was unsure today if a plant based diet was the same as paleo. I found this link that vehemently set me straight. http://www.drmcdougall.com/video/low-carb_plant-based_diet.htm0

I am a recovering diabetic and was quite carb shy and reluctant to consume the 70% carbs suggested by a plant based diet. I found this link today that was very helpful.

Great links! Keeping current and accurate with plant based is so important! Thanks!0

The pcrm.org link was a great article - why did it say no to avocado and pineapple and watermelon at the bottom? Was that "tweaked" due to the diabetic issue? I know FOK and plant based allows it in limited amts as ok - just wondering.0

http://vegweb.com
It's a vegan recipe community. They "updated" their site and now the community part seems to have mostly disappeared and the finding of stuff is a bit problematic, but it *does* have a ton of vegan recipes that are user-submitted. You can submit your own, keep a "recipe box" from the site on there and make grocery lists from it. Hopefully they'll fix it up better soon.0 -
Love the idea of keeping an electronic recipe file online and creating food shopping lists! Def checking that out!0

I have a recipe box at allrecipes.com. They have several vegan recipes. If you pay to join you can submit recipes, comment on them, and get shopping lists. This was my vegan source before I came here and also learned about the CHIP program0

Here's a link to a website that my husband and I created to share what we have gathered for our Compassionate Diet Lifestyle, a.k.a. Plant-based Diet lifestyle... I hope you can find some resources that are helpful to you on your journey :-)

Found this last month and I love it. I'm on day 18 of the 21 day vegan kickstart. It has the daily meals written out with shopping lists and recipes. Pretty fail safe and has comments from Rip Esselstyn, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn
